As we wrap up the first six months of the MeebitsDAO, we’re looking to elect a new Steering Committee. The Steering Committee works collaboratively with the General Manager to determine the DAO priorities and projects. This new committee will serve for a short term — March 31st through June 30th — and then we’ll start our regular six-month term.
For this election, we're using Quadratic Voting, meaning that your vote can be split among any number of Candidates. If you choose only 1 candidate, they get 100% of a vote. If you choose 3, they each get 33% of a vote. The 10 candidates with the highest percentage of votes will be elected to the Steering Committee, as long as at least 50% are Founders. We encourage you to choose 10 candidates.
Here are the candidates and their Letters of Interest:
BUGS (Founder): To contribute any experience I have to engage with fellow members to expedite the Meebits into the thoughts and minds of everyone in this space. In particular focusing on their operability, and developing their story "as to why they exist", and what use they have in peoples day to day lives? All of this, whilst making Meebit ownership a special and enjoyable experience, whilst appealing to the most diverse audience possible.
Clauds (Founder): My team and I are bringing corporates and individuals into NFTs and the Metaverse (and Meebits) here in Europe https://www.iam-lab.ch. We have amazing solidity devs, web3 marketing pros and designers that are here to help and serve. No matter if you vote me (us) in or not, we will keep at working for Meebits, the Metaverse ready NFT, the only collection with an API, LFG!
Evil (Founder): Meebits DAO was my number #1 interest when it wasnt even a fully functional community. I've been actively taking part in discussions and trying to create utilities around meebs and even managed to achieve some. I am sure I can give meebs the love they deserve and be the first ever multi utility NFTs ever. Or like I say, meebs are more than just NFTs
BC (General Member): I have minted my Meebits on day 1 and I have never listed it ever since. I really love what MeebitsDAO is trying to build. Although the DAO didn't get ANY support from LarvaLabs, they managed to build a small community with the Meebits Holders.
Personally, I am a big fan of NFTs, and I really hate to see how a lot of projects and participants these days just focus on making money. NFTs imo, is not about making money. It's a means of bringing people from all around the globe together. It's about bringing value itself to the community and I see MeebitsDAO trying to do this voluntarily. I really want to be a part of it.
I have a lot of experience in NFTs. Meebits being one of them, and i think it's one of the first ones that i've minted. My journey in NFTs started with Meebits and now I am one of the team members in a project named CyberGalz, which is post mint. I am looking forward to use the resources that I have with the MeebitsDAO to give back to the Meebits community who helped me get onboard in NFTs and build a better future for both of the projects.

TintedSwan (Founder): I am Founder #18 of Meebits DAO, a 15-year-old high school student, and also a BAYC and Meebits holder. I believe that Meebits DAO has the potential to do GREAT things in the future, especially with the Yuga Labs acquisition. Through this committee, I can bring a new, younger perspective to the Meebits DAO administration. I can bring a point of view for the next generation to the table. My goal is to help our DAO become the best version of itself through extensions and projects that will improve the Meebits ecosystem. Thanks for taking the time to read my letter of interest, and I hope you guys consider me as a viable option for this position. Have a great day!
Taavi (Founder): I'm a Meebits owner since the mint day and Founder #129. I've been in crypto since 2017 and got first taste of NFTs when Cryptokitties launched and I recreated my own cats through breeding. My background is in digital marketing and I currently run a performance agency. As a Steering Committee member I would like to contribute on the DAO management and Charter-related topics as well as marketing initiatives.
gold (General Member): Hi all. I'm Michael Gold https://twitter.com/MichaelGold. I have background in the 3D and virtual world space in both the entrpeneurial side and the academic side. From 2016-2021, I was the entrepreneur in residence at an AR / VR research lab at NYU where we spun out patents and startups related to procedural art and creator tools. Currently, I run Shaderverse https://shaderverse.com which develops an open source Blender add-on that lets 3D artists create generative art collections without coding (and provides the infrastructure to on-ramp these projects to several blockchains). I also am a professor at SVA where I teach 3D artists classes in technical direction and generative art. I own a few Meebits and would love to help guide this group into the future.
ringzero (Founder): Hi folks. I'm Mark Mayo. I've been working with and on open source since the early 90s. BSD, Linux, PostgreSQL, and later helped support the NodeJS project as CTO of cloud computing pioneer Joyent. DAOs feel like "the missing piece" we lacked over the last 3 decades of community building within software development, and the chance to help explore Meebits as a plausible metaverse building block was just too interesting to ignore. These days I'm a founder at block::block, looking at interesting ways we can use blockchain and web3 to made a positive dent in the universe. MeebitsDAO is sort of the intersection of those two worlds, to me. I hope I can contribute by applying my open source and executive background to the business of ensuring we have good, effective governance of MeebitsDAO.
Fanj (General Member): Gm I‘m Fanj, I'm from china. Seriously I like MeebitsDAO very much, although its price is not ideal now, but I believe it will make a difference; I am an ambassador for China for several projects, including: Flow, GMR, EventDAO, etc. The most important thing for my skills is to help newcomers to enter this track and not to come in with a speculator's mentality to make quick money. For this reason, I also created PlanC Knowledge payment platform, guide everyone to enter; In the future, I can make some contributions in community management and marketing promotion
peppergum (General Member): Hi, I am Aditya. I have been involved with Meebits community from very start and have been in Nft space since last year. My background is a 3d artist and engineering student, and i can believe that my background in these fields can help in development and growth of meebits ecosystem and Meebits Dao
0xDeadstock (General Member): GM all. For meebits to realize its goal of interoperability everywhere, it requires a team fluent at building and cultivating partnerships, driving results and communicating clearly. The team needs both experience with today’s metaverse worlds and an ability to develop business alongside future project initiatives. This is what I do. IRL I have led the commercial organization for a global household name brand. This included responsibility for every aspect of planning and operations plus the entire sales team across countries. I know how to forge partnerships and follow them through to realization. Having been responsible for both revenue delivery and operational efficiency of a large company, I am good at driving growth and then managing it logistically. Today IRL, I run a consulting firm and am equity partner in a premium sneaker brand. In this space, I started a digital footwear brand (Tempel Tuttle – see @nftfootwear on twitter) from nothing, and through that platform have ‘a builder’s’ experience with metaverses, avatar interoperability, wearables development, and collaborations. I rely on none of my crypto activity for income so it remains something I do for fun and learning; I can do this sustainably for a long time to come. I see the vision for Meebits that the rest of you do, and I look forward to helping make it happen.
carla_muc_j (Founder): Helloooo Meebits Friends!! Meebits Founder here. Where are all the other SC lady applicants?!? I jumped in after it seemed that we were a little underrepresented here. 😊 I'm a lawyer (don't hold that against me....) who stumbled on the NFT space in 2017, re-entered in 2020 and have been in the space ever since. I'm interested in raising the Meebits profile through collabs with the many communities I play in - Yuga Labs and beyond. I’m an Aussie but am Munich based and will be a regular at Euro NFT events/conferences - I can fly our flag with pride! Anyway, happy to help wherever I can and would love to be a part of the start of this new Meebits chapter!
