Acquire LANDs in Decentraland

SUMMARY

Proposal to acquire either a 1x1 ,3x1, 2x2 or a 3x3 in the Decentraland metaverse

BACKGROUND

The MGH DAO is seriously committed to supporting the development of the metaverse. Therefore, we are constantly looking for new opportunities in different virtual worlds to find lands that will be suitable for our community members to unleash their imagination and participate in the creation of a new paradigm.

MOTIVATION

Given the increased adoption of metaverse related topics, it is key for the MGH DAO to increase its exposure in multiple virtual worlds. For this reason, our game development team has been working hard on developing an SDK for Decentraland to start building amazing experiences for the MGH community. Nevertheless, in other to materialize this, it is necessary to acquire the required LANDs. This proposal is aimed at deciding which estate/parcel should be purchased.

SPECIFICATION

Acquire either a 1x1, 3x1, 2x2 or a 3x3 estate. Keep in mind that the size of a 1x1 in Decentraland is 16x16m

Voters will be able to select one of the the three options. The option with the most votes will then be purchased on OpenSea.

• 1x1 parcel: Max budget 12.000 USD
• 3x1 estate: Max budget 60.000 USD
• 2x2 estate: Max budget 80.000 USD
• 3x3 estate: Max budget 150.000 USD

CONCLUSION

This proposal aims to expand MGH’s exposure in the Decentraland metaverse. Considering the big upside potential of virtual real estate and metaverse related assets, it is the right moment to acquire lands. This will allow the MGH DAO to foster, together with its community, the development of the metaverse.
