BACKGROUND

The MGH DAO is seriously committed to foster the development of the open metaverse. Therefore, we are constantly looking for new opportunities in different virtual worlds and across NFT projects to strengthen the position of our DAO within the space.

FLUFs are animated PFPs (picture for proof and profile pics) that can be used as an out-of-the-box avatar in three formats (MP4, GIF, and PNG formats, with 3D models coming soon) but also one of the first audio-visual PFPs where the role of music is integral to the characters, the worlds they inhabit and the long-term project roadmap. In this sense, FLUFs act as a ticket both in physical and virtual world for different concerts, festivals and experiences.

Thingies are directly connected to the FLUF universe and a good add on to our FLUFs. Later they will be used to farm mycelium (more information in the linked article).

PartyBears are best friends of FLUFs and collaboratively shape the endeavours of Fluf World. They primarily focus on the Music aspect and the goal of the Bears is to start a Music DAO as well as at some point pot. owning an island (IRL) for exclusive events.

MOTIVATION

Setting aside the advanced level of technology, content and milestones achieved by Non Fungible Labs (the company behind FLUF World) there is a strong community behind the project (around 60k members) and a huge level of acceptance in the NFT ecosystem (partnerships with BAYC, PartyBear).

Finally, one of the criticisms of Open Metaverse virtual worlds like Decentraland and Somnium Space is that they are relatively empty in their early stages, reducing stickiness and churn. To address, this the team has already partnered with Altered State Machine to super-charge FLUFs with intelligence so they can interact with other players on behalf of its owner autonomously.

Their high level of customization, great founding team, engaged community and auspicious roadmap are some of the reasons why we want to acquire a FLUF, raise awareness about MGH and increase the exposure of our DAO within their metaverse.

SPECIFICATION

Owning a FLUF will entitle the MGH DAO to mint a burrow (a virtual Metaspace NFT) where the avatar will live. Depending on the burrow minted, the DAO will become between 1 and 9 LANDs. The minting rule will be: 1 FLUF = 1 Burrow.

If not all FLUF owners claim their Burrows, it will be possible for the owners of other NFT collections such as the Party Bears and Thinigies to mint them. Minting a burrow will cost 0.22 ETH.

The purchasal will be structured in the following way:

• One female floor FLUF for breeding purposes
• Two Thingies to leverage their AI networks and future utility
• Two PartyBears to leverage their progressive approach towards the music industry

The total investment will sum up to 40,000 USD excluding gas fees.
