After a Proposal Passes How Long Before an Opposing Proposal Can be Voted on?

Voting ended about 3 years agoSucceeded

Once a proposal has been submitted and enters the closed status, how much time must pass before a proposal that alters the closed proposal in any way can be put to a vote?

Example: a proposal passes or fails for hosting an event in the clubhouse in Decentraland. You or I don’t like the outcome and want to rewrite the proposal and put it to a vote a second time. There will be a waiting period that must pass before it can be put to a vote again. 2nd Example: we all vote on how the DAO funds from advertising and any other way fundraising events for the DAO are to be disbursed. IE; to NFT Holders, Marketing, Lawyers, Development, anything for providing growth to the Metatrekker’s DAO. After the options pass there will need to be a time period before it can be altered again and put to a vote.

Why: If not, we may find ourselves voting constantly on the same topic repeatedly. This is a waste of people’s time. We must also give the process time to fully see its benefits or the faults. This is why there is a discussion channel for getting feedback on how a proposal maybe received and to get other people’s thoughts so a well written and thought out proposal can be put to a vote with a higher chance of passing and less opportunities for proposals even being considered to be opposed immediately following its passing or failing.

This proposal is in regards to the Metatrekker’s DAO and has no impact on Decentraland. You will not find it in the DCL DAO or anywhere else. This only affects Metatrekker’s proposals directly.
