Configuration of a PILLS-FTM LP on Beethoven-x

Voting ended almost 4 years agoSucceeded

The MorpheusSwap team would like to host our main liquidity on Beethoven-x (https://beets.fi/#/). With some of the best DEX tech in the space, we believe that numerous benefits arise: better slippage for trades of all sizes with PILLS, the ability to LP in a proportion such as 70/30 (less IL for LP providers), future vote bribing and more!

The goal of this proposal is to determine how the LP should be configured, as there are options for the second token to pair PILLS with, as well as the pool weight.

For the second token, we've traditionally used FTM to pair PILLS with. By moving to BEETS, we're presented the opportunity to incorporate their boosted pools tech (https://beethovenxio.medium.com/boosted-pools-908ae3d51d3a). I'd highly recommend for anyone not familiar with this to read through their medium article explaining what boosted pools are. In short, they allow for better capital efficiency (earning interest through Yearn) as well as liquidity utilization. For MorpheusSwap's case, the opportunity presented is to use bb-yv-FTM instead of regular FTM for pairing with PILLS in the LP.

BEETS also offers dynamic pool weights. In contrast to the typical UniV2 model for DEXes, you're allowed to create LPs with varying weights, compared to the regular 50/50 LP split that we're all used to. After team consideration, we'd like to propose either using a 80/20 or 70/30 proportion for the PILLS-FTM LP. This will limit the IL for LP providers, as PILLS can be quite the volatile token.

Following advice given by the Beethoven team, initially we'd like to set the dynamic swap fee to be 0.6%, keeping in mind the lower initial volume of the pair.

Besides the weight and second token options for the LP, we're also discussing the name we should give to make PILLS-FTM feel right at home on Beethoven-x. Make sure to leave any input on this in our Discord!
