Should the Liquidator as detailed in MIP #2 be deployed?

Voting ended over 5 years agoSucceeded

This poll proposes that a new liquidator, which will liquidate COMP, AAVE/LEND and other tokens earned lending assets on various DeFi platforms, be deployed. The code for this has been prepared by the mStable team and is ready to go.

This liquidator would automatically sell the tokens earned from the lending markets for mUSD, bolstering the SAVE APY. mStable Improvement Proposal #2 (MIP) proposes a liquidation mechanism for assets owned by the protocol.

Liquidations are triggered once by week by any community member through an external function.

Flow

  1. Liquidator sells COMP for USDC (or other) on Uniswap once per week (up to trancheAmount).
  2. Sell USDC for mUSD on Curve and send to SavingsManager
  3. SavingsManager streams mUSD to SAVE, second by second over the course of a week

Details

Liquidator has been deployed and the upgrade for 3 affected contracts is now pending a Governance poll.

Proposed upgrades:

  • Addition of a Liquidator module to sell COMP (or LEND) for mUSD (first on Uniswap, then on Curve)
  • Upgrade CompoundIntegration to allow liquidation of COMP
  • Upgrade SavingsManager to allow mUSD proceeds to be streamed to SAVE
