Please only vote on this proposal if you voted YES to add sUSD to the mUSD basket.
For many months, sUSD has consistently remained above its US$1 peg. At time of writing, it is at $1.03.
No economically rational actor would mint mUSD with it, given mUSD's 1:1 nature. Additionally, it was argued that should any sUSD be deposited, that sUSD would be immediately traded out by arbitrageurs. The lack of DAI representation - itself over-peg - was used as evidence of this dynamic.
This concern was discussed in the forum thread about adding sUSD to the mUSD basket. See (https://forum.mstable.org/t/vote-add-susd-to-musd-basket/45).
If you approve of adding sUSD to the mUSD basket, at what point do you think it would be best to add it?
When technically feasible = as soon as there is developer capacity, the asset will be added.
When sUSD stabilises around its US$1 peg = 1-2 weeks at its US$1 peg.
