Governance Framework for Muhdo DAO

This document outlines the governance framework for the MUHDAO, a legally wrapped decentralised autonomous organisation, incorporated in the Cayman Islands (“the DAO”, “MuhDAO”).

This governance framework sets out the organisational context within which the DAO forms part of the Muhdo Hub and the DAO’s decision-making remit, bodies and processes, which we have engineered to prioritise efficiency, transparency and alignment with the Muhdo Hub/DNA Token Whitepaper.

Purpose: The DAO is a critical element of the Muhdo Hub project and performs key philanthropic functions for the Muhdo Hub. Community involvement in the allocation of grants, free test kits and epigenetic data set access to projects that seek to improve public health outcomes and to provide valuable commercialisation opportunities for the Muhdo Hub group is at the core of the DAO’s purpose and commitments. In this way, MuhDAO supports Muhdo Hub to fulfil a foundational requirement of the Muhdo Hub project, reducing barriers to access world class health services (for individuals) and information (for research organisations), democratising and bringing transparency to the use of health information and supporting community engagement in public health matters.

Inaugural proposal: The DAO’s first act of governance is to post this DAO Governance Framework to the community proposing its adoption. This document specifies the DAO’s governance arrangements, its scope and purpose, together with details about how the DAO will be bootstrapped and financed on an ongoing basis. So long as 25% of token holders vote “yes” on the Inaugural Proposal, it will take effect and the Muhdo Hub core team will set up the process for elections for the DAO’s first Governance Council on behalf of the DAO. Once the Governance Council has been established further to the process set out in this document, the Governance Council will be the designated decision making body for the DAO and will be responsible for all subsequent decisions.
