"I’m looking to convene a small working group of consultants who are actively exploring or already applying Network First thinking in their client work. The intent is simple but ambitious: to identify compelling consulting use cases and translate them into practical, repeatable exercises that help organizations understand and apply Network First principles in real contexts. At this stage, ONA may be a relevant tool in some cases, but the group should focus on identifying and shaping other practices, methods, and interventions as the discipline evolves.
What this group would do: identify and pressure test high value project types where Network First delivers a clear advantage; co develop short white papers, frameworks, and point of view assets that articulate when and how Network First can be applied; share real world lessons from client work, including what is working, what is not, and where gaps remain; and, as the practice matures, explore the creation of a Network First consulting certification grounded in real use cases and demonstrated practitioner experience.
Why participate: help shape the direction of an emerging consulting practice, co author and be credited on thought leadership, build relationships with peers doing serious work in networks and organizational effectiveness, create assets that can be directly used in client conversations, and contribute to defining what “good” looks like in Network First consulting.
This is not a sales group and not a large forum. It is intentionally small, opinionated, and practitioner led. Engagement would be lightweight, with bi weekly discussions and collaborative drafting focused on clear, tangible outputs. If this resonates, vote yes and join the group."
