"Vital Cartography: An Interactive Mapping of Biological and Organizational Vitality Current decision-making in healthcare and corporate governance is hindered by ""reductionist"" thinking. We treat symptoms rather than systems, making us fragile in the face of modern disruptions like AI and environmental shifts.
Vital Cartography is an artistic and practical project that develops a ""Living Map."" This map visualizes the human body as networks of interacting systems (nervous, endocrine, etc.) that respond to emotional and external stimuli. The intent is to transpose this map onto the ""organizational body"" to demonstrate how systems interact to work for or against vitality of the organism, human or organizational given the interplay between emotional health and context (epigenetics).
Objectives • Expand Consciousness: Move users from a narrow analytical view to a ""whole-system"" perspective and know the difference in thinking. • Interactive Format: Develop a digital or physical novel artistic format that allows users to explore systemic interactions triggered by catalysts. • Practical Application: Create an artistic medium (interactive book or display) that broadens perception for personal health and organizational well-being decisions.
This is in the Concept Development Phase. If you are interested in contributing to deepening knowledge, self-organizational and context awareness to achieve vitality please join. I am looking for help build the first iteration of the Living Map and how it might be presented artistically. Public to Professional audience.
An artistic approach is preferred to express science through art. Inspired by Terence McKenna's quote: “The artist’s task is to save the soul of mankind; and anything less is a dithering while Rome burns. Because of the artists, who are self-selected, for being able to journey into the Other, if the artists cannot find the way, then the way cannot be found.” ― Terence McKenna
