NFT.com Roadmap: Likes vs. English Auction

Voting ended almost 3 years agoSucceeded

Tl;dr Should NFT.com prioritize new social features or new NFT trading features?

Option 1: NFT.com will add the ability for any profile holder to like an NFT, NFT Collection, or Profile on NFT.com. Profile holders will be notified of the new like and total number of likes they have on their profile, NFT, or collection.

This initial feature implementation would also create the framework we can then use in the future to add following, commenting, and a profile feed experience to NFT.com.

Pros

  • Facilitate social engagement
  • Framework for profile impressions
  • Recurring product usage

Cons

  • No direct NFT.com revenue activity

The initial estimate for this feature is 2 engineering months.

Option 2: NFT.com will add support for english auctions to the NFT.com Marketplace. This feature will allow an NFT seller to list their NFT as an english auction type which allows the owner to set a duration and minimum price. This means the owner can receive multiple bids over the auction duration. If the minimum price is passed, the NFT will be sold to the highest bidder.

Pros

  • New listing type
  • Existing smart contract support

Cons

  • Limited new user growth

The initial estimate for this feature is 3 engineering months.
