Extension of Small Grants Committee (SGC) Season 2 and Creation of Formal Transition Phase

Between each season, a transition phase for SGC knowledge transfer is needed for SGC to review requests continually throughout the year without gap months for transition/handoff. Additionally we would like to ensure year round coverage for community funding requests and a more defined election cycle and transition period. The proposal includes the following:

Extend the current season to end June 30th Enable 3 x 4-month periods for SGC going forward Jul 1st to Oct 31st SGC S3 Full Session (July 31 - Oct 31) SGC S4 Election Cycle (Oct 3 - Oct 17) SGC S3 to SGC S4 2-week transition (Oct 17 - Oct 31) Nov 1st to Feb 29th SGC S4 Full Session (Nov 1 - Feb 29) SGC S5 Election Cycle (Feb 1 - Feb 15) SGC S4 to SGC S5 2-week transition (Feb 15- Feb 29) Mar 1st to June 30th SGC S5 Full Session (Mar 1 - June 30) SGC S6 Election Cycle (June 2 - June 16) SGC S5 to SGC S6 2- week transition (June 16 - June 30)

Coordinate a two week election cycle with an overlapping two week transition/training period: starting June 1st, new committee elected by June 15th, onboarding process starting June 16th.

Leverage existing funds allocated for Season 2 through June 30th

Provides time to develop IRL Committee and Funding Allocations and address other items raised in the “Other Important Points” section of this proposal
