Subsidize Cost of OCM Karma Collection Migration from Ethereum to Bitcoin in high resolution on Block 78 sats

Metagood seeks to migrate the OCM Karma collection from the Ethereum blockchain to the Bitcoin blockchain. This will complete the migration of our OCM Genesis and Karma collections and solidify OCM as having the most significant digital artifacts on Bitcoin.

OCM Karma was hand-painted by our Academy Award-nominated Art and Design team over a period of 9 months, and launched on June 29, 2022. To this day, the Karma collection remains one of the most detailed hand-painted art collections on Ethereum, with 49 layers used to generate the images, and the relationships between the hundreds of traits. Another distinguishing feature of OCM Karma on Ethereum is that the metadata is 100% generated on-chain. Despite all of these innovations and firsts, the complexity of OCM Karma’s art was such that it was not feasible to put the collection 100% on chain on Ethereum. Through the pioneering work of our engineering team, we can now put the collection entirely on-chain as a digital artifact on Bitcoin.

We will inscribe the Karma collection in full resolution, 1960x1960 pixels. To inscribe a collection of this size in this resolution is unprecedented on Bitcoin Ordinals, and would be another historic accomplishment for our community. For reference, here are the image resolutions of some popular non-pixel art Ordinals collections: Bitcoin Frogs 576 x 576, Ordinal Maxi Biz (OMB) 336 x 336, BTC DeGods 190 x 190.

Like the migration of Genesis to Bitcoin, members will be able to decide whether to remain on Ethereum or upgrade their Karma by migrating to Bitcoin, which is a substantial upgrade. Although the OCM Karma images are not on-chain on Ethereum, they WILL be on-chain on Bitcoin. This means that OCM Karma on Bitcoin will be classifiable as a Digital Artifact, which is the highest possible quality of standard that an NFT can meet.

We are requesting 500 ETH from the DAO to subsidize the costs for:

• Building infrastructure to inscribe OCM Karma to Bitcoin, 100% on-chain including images, using parent-child provenance in high resolution (1960x1960 pixels) via recursion.
• Building infrastructure to support burning of OCM Karma on Ethereum to receive OCM Karma on Bitcoin
• Building infrastructure to support consumption of OCM Desserts by OCM Genesis on Bitcoin, to create OCM Karma on Bitcoin
• Building infrastructure to recognize OCM Karma and OCM Genesis assets held on Bitcoin for Discord roles and Discord access, including the ability to give and earn bananas on both Discord and Twitter.
