Project Summary Important: Think of this as the elevator pitch for your Proposal. The contents of this section will be emphasized within the overall summary for your Proposal on Sanpshot.org (DAO voting system) for OCM Tokenholder voting. A link to the remainder of your Proposal (this document) will be included beneath this summary for voters wishing to learn more. OCM DAO needs a quick and efficient process to deploy capital from the DAO to fund smaller projects (1 to 10 ETH each) at scale, which will generate interest in and help to build the OCM ecosystem and brand. Our OCM Prop House model would be an experiment in maximizing speed of funding for small projects while minimizing transaction time and friction, and also encouraging community voting and involvement. Through bi-weekly funding rounds of approximately 10 ETH each, the OCM community votes to determine which of the top proposals win funding in a particular round. This proposal requests an allocation of 50 ETH from the DAO to fund OCM Prop House projects for Season 1, a 3 month period starting now through October 2022.
Project Description Why OCM DAO seeks a quick and efficient process to deploy capital from the DAO to fund smaller projects (1 to 10 ETH each) at scale, which will generate interest in and help to build the OCM ecosystem and brand. While the governance and proposal process that was previously published will work better for large magnitude/value projects that need thorough vetting from the community, kickstarting a group of low threshold projects quickly for each Season could overcome the inertia of that proposal process. The idea is to launch small projects efficiently that would be lower risk for the DAO due to the low threshold of each individual project, and due to working within the set budget for the entire Season. OCM Prop House will increase community participation and have the community directly vote for projects that benefit the OCM community as a whole. What We propose using the process innovated by the Nouns Proposal Auction House (“Prop House”) model: through funding rounds, grants are awarded to the top proposals voted on by the community. Our OCM Prop House model would be an experiment in maximizing speed of funding for small projects while minimizing transaction time and friction, and also encouraging community voting and involvement. To get a better idea of how Prop House works and the kinds of proposals already being funded through this mechanism, we encourage you to check out the following links:

The scope would be funding projects from the DAO that benefit the OCM community and ecosystem. Out of scope are DAO governance issues and large funding requests.
How
This proposal requests an allocation of 50 ETH from the DAO to fund OCM Prop House projects for Season 1, a 3 month period starting now through October 2022. The Season 1 theme has already been announced as “Building OCM Brand and Community,” and proposals should focus on this theme.
Each round is a one week period where any ETH wallet address can submit a Prop House proposal. Once the proposal period ends, a subsequent one week voting period starts where only OCM Tokenholders can vote for the proposals they believe should win the round and receive funds.
Voting
With permission from Prop.house, we will be able to utilize the Prop.house infrastructure to set up the proposal and voting rounds.
At this time, the infrastructure of the Prop.House voting mechanism can support having both Genesis and Karma collections voting together, but cannot accommodate a bonus vote for holding both a Genesis and Karma because they are two different collections. So for the Prop.House voting rounds at this time, each Genesis gets 1 vote and each Karma gets 1 vote. Prop House may be able to count a bonus vote for holding Genesis and Karma in the near future.
Winners
Winners of each Prop House round are the top X number of proposals which receive the most votes, where X will be defined prior to the round. Approximately 10 ETH of funding will be allocated each round to divide among the top X winners.
In the spirit of experimentation, we can test out different parameters for each round, with the exact parameters set forth prior to each round (e.g., 10 winners of 1 ETH each, 2 winners of 5 ETH each, etc.), to see which is best suited for the community.
If a proposal is not selected as a winner in a round, it can be submitted in subsequent rounds.
While we don’t expect it to be necessary, Metagood reserves the right to moderate or remove proposals under certain, limited circumstances, including but not limited to fraud, obscenity, prohibited jurisdictions, infringement of IP rights, or out of scope requests.
Winners of each round are encouraged to report status and progress of their projects to the OCM community in Discord.
Disbursement
At the conclusion of each round, disbursements of funds to the proposal winners will come from the Nouns Prop House multi-sig wallet for OCM DAO. OCM DAO will transfer the funds from the OCM DAO wallet to the Nouns Prop House multi-sig wallet prior to the end of the voting period for each round.
Project Rationale Describe the benefit to the OCM community if this proposal is approved. (4-5 sentences) While the published OCM DAO proposal process works better for large magnitude/value projects that need thorough vetting from the community, kickstarting a group of low threshold projects quickly for each Season builds excitement in the OCM community. The idea is to launch small projects efficiently that would be lower risk for the DAO due to the low threshold of each individual project, and due to working within the set budget for the entire Season.
Project Action Items Specific steps to implement the proposal, fees, costs, resources required.
