Inaugural OCM DAO Proposals Coordinator

Summary

The OCM DAO needs a full time Proposals Coordinator to coordinate and curate the OCM DAO’s multiple channels for receiving and posting proposals, voting, and communication activities relating to proposals. This DAO Proposals Coordinator would also serve as the main point of contact for the OCM DAO community regarding proposals. This important project management role will enhance the proposals process to bring value to the community, progressively decentralize the OCM DAO, and help offload DAO-related support tasks that Metagood is currently providing to the DAO. This would allow Metagood to focus instead on building partnerships for the DAO through its network of investors and contacts, and building the technological services for OCM such as the Missions platform and framework.

This proposal requests 33 ETH total to reimburse Metagood for a 6 month period for a remote role. The target pay rate to the Proposals Coordinator is the equivalent of approximately USD $7,425 per month, which is a rate of 5.5 ETH per month, at the current conversion rate of USD$1,350/ETH = USD$7,425 per month.

Responsibilities Manage day-to-day operations related to OCM DAO proposals, OCM Prop House, OCM Small Grants Committee, and related proposal communications, marketing, and community outreach. Create and maintain an accurate repository (e.g. Google Drive, Notion, wiki) for all DAO-related business: proposals, meetings notes, grants, etc.

Why OCM DAO needs a full time Proposals Coordinator to manage the proposals process to help to grow the OCM DAO ecosystem and maximize its outreach to those within the OCM community and outside of OCM. By the end of Season 1, there will be nearly 30 funded Prop House proposals to follow up with, and several Small Grants Committee projects as well.

What This proposal requests reimbursement to Metagood of 33 ETH from the DAO to fund 6 months payment for one person to serve as Proposals Coordinator in a liaison role to the OCM DAO. If successful, this OCM DAO Coordinator role could be renewed for one year with continued funding from the DAO. The target payment is ~USD$7,425 per month, and Metagood will transfer payments to the Proposals Coordinator on a semi-monthly basis.

How In the absence of a DAO hiring or administrative committee at this initial stage, Metagood, as a service provider to the DAO, will provide hiring and screening services in order to select candidates for the Proposals Coordinator role.The Proposals Coordinator will serve as the liaison between the OCM DAO and Metagood, and will need to access platforms and tools managed by Metagood, and be granted permissions by Metagood (such as the OCM Discord roles). Initially, Metagood will serve as the contracting entity for the Proposals Coordinator, but this responsibility is intended to transition to the DAO when the DAO forms a hiring committee in the future.

Responsibilities of Coordinator ● Proposals Submissions and Voting Process ○ Interface with proposers and assist with finalization of draft proposals ○ Organize and screen incoming proposals to the DAO in different channels: full proposals, Prop House, Small Grants Committee ○ Manage DAO tooling for submissions and voting, e.g., Governance Dashboard, Snapshot.org voting, Prop.house voting ○ Set schedules for Prop House voting, proposal schedules, weekly town halls to showcase proposals and discuss with OCM community ○ Advise proposers to help refine and finalize their proposals for publication ○ Assist with transfer of funds to recipients and management of DAO funds ○ Follow up with grant recipients for project status updates ○ Improve the efficiency of the proposal process at each step of the pipeline - idea phase, discussion and community feedback, templates, drafting, finalization, voting, execution, followup

● Communications ○ Manage official communications via socials, DAO Twitter account, Discord ○ Create and maintain an accurate repository (e.g. Google Drive, Notion, wiki) for all DAO-related business: proposals, meetings notes, grants, etc. ○ Publish list of Small Grants awarded, maintain historical archive ○ Publish summaries of Prop House grants awarded ○ Track metrics to measure project effectiveness, e.g., on socials and marketing ○ Showcase the success and progress of the projects that received funding; write blog posts ○ Interface with Metagood team for strategic planning, scheduling, support issues, community input ○ Liaison with Prop.House team for technical issues or development requests

● Community ○ Serve as main point of contact for DAO questions ○ Assist with monitoring and moderating community discussions regarding proposals (Discord, Dashboard) ○ Welcome and onboard new DAO members ○ Strive to match skillsets with builders and proposers looking for partners in the community ○ Publish monthly self-review and report to the DAO on progress Proposed Schedule (dates subject to change):
