Investment to buy Otherdeeds in the Otherside Metaverse

Proposal:

• The Board is proposing we invest in an Otherside Otherdeed. We wish to spend a maximum of 6 ETH from our community fund to secure a piece of land in Yuga Labs’ upcoming Metaverse project upon which to build for the future of OG:CR.
• We propose investing in a single piece of land as follows:
  • A Tier 3, 4 or 5 Crystal environment to best represent our project and the OG:CR brand.
  • Making every effort to:
    • secure a deed with plentiful resources and/or a high sediment tier, but ultimately prioritising the overall size of the plot (environment tier)
    • secure a plot nearer to the center of the map (the BAYC)

Rationale:

• Investment in Otherside has the potential to increase exposure of OG:CR and to build bridges with other blue chip NFT communities.

• Benefits:

  • Helping OG:CR gain greater exposure within the broader NFT community and introducing OG:CR to potential new investors and community members.

• Risks:

  • This will be our inaugural investment, utilising a significant portion of DAO funds. There is no guarantee of profits, especially in the short term. Floor prices may go up and may go down.

• NOTE: Otherdeeds are dynamic NFTs with multiple component parts. Plots of land that come with resources, artifacts (potentially) and other means of generating income within the P2E ecoysystem of what is being touted as a MMORPG.

• In time, our community will need to decide how best to farm these resources and/or participate in the Otherside community. Or to simply build on the land (using the available SDK).
