Should the OMGKirby Community authorize a budget for the design, tooling and operationalization of the OMGKirby DAO, to enable successful and legitimate collective management of OMGKirby?

OVERVIEW Should OMGKirby Treasury approve a budget of $52,000 USD over a 5 Month period, to fund the design and operationalization of the OMGKirby DAO? This budget will pay for the following deliverables:

Paper outlining the DAO’s technical and political architecture, operationalization plan, and long term governance roadmap.

Operational and legitimate DAO capable of representing community preferences for collective management of OMGKirby and collective use of the OMGKirby DAO Treasury. This minimum viable product DAO will include an ERC20 governance token, Snapshot voting space, and plan for future development of a custom OMGKirby Governance dApp.

High-level coverage of different mechanisms proposed by team to be incorporated in the DAO: Weighted voting-mechanism reflected in snapshot voting to disperse power to those most active in DAO projects. Multi-sig for treasury funds - all core team has to sign tx for funds to be spent Royalty claiming mechanic exploration

Two month period of Governance Facilitation from an experienced DAO designer and governance facilitator to set in motion the process of progressive decentralization and automation (where possible); and support articulation of community interests into and consensus building around, implementable governance proposals.

PAYMENT Payment for design and operationalization of the OMGKirby DAO will be made through a revocable 5 month vesting contract with a 1 month cliff period. This means that payment for services will be made up front in USDC into a vesting smart contract, which gradually increases in value over time. The contractor, however, can not claim any of the funds for 1 month once their work product has been seen, and the contract can be revoked at any time if services are not satisfactory.

PERSONNEL OMGKirby DAO will be designed and operationalized by Sanctuary DAO, an emerging DAO-building DAO founded by Matimio. Matimio is a Future Studies PhD Candidate researching decentralized and democratic futures. He currently serves as the DAO Facilitator for Decentraland, co-designed and directs Big Green DAO, and is a governance-focused moderator/advisor in several Etherum NFT-communities.
