Summary

What

This proposal covers the proposed compensation for the Operations of omgkirbyDAO for the 12 week period of Session 2. Operations for now primarily includes the Community Team, but this may be expanded to include other core teams in the future.

In addition, for Session 2, we're going to include a small amount of ETH the Community team can use to run contests, giveaways or reward active community members. This ETH will remain in the multisig wallet until it is sent to a community member as a reward.

Who

For Session 2, we are looking to expand our Community Team. We are implementing the role of Senior Moderator - who will act as an elevated mod, running engagements with the community. We are also looking to hire an additional moderator who can work during nights - as our community is going to expand by ~2000 holders after the PFP mint.

When

Session 2 will run 12 weeks, in two separate blocks. This budget will cover the entirety of the Pre-Session & Session 2.

• Pre-Session: May 30th - June 27th
• Session 2: June 27th - August 22nd

Why

Operations covers the base unit required to maintain the DAO - which at this moment is the Community Team in the Discord. Adding an additional moderator will allow us to proactively work to prevent attacks on the Discord, and also react much faster if something was to occur.

How

The DAO payroll will be conducted once a week via our multisig. You can also track the DAO's treasury on our wiki.

We are slightly over budget for our Operations during Session 1, due to elevating our Moderator to Senior Moderator midway through the session. Moving forward we will budget with this elevated role in mind!

Expense Categories

• Contributor Payments: Payments to the Community Manager, the Senior Moderator & the Moderator for their work in the Discord & organizing the community.
• Community Fund: Funds the Community team can use to run contests, giveaways or reward active community members.

Session 2 Proposed Budget

The funds needed to cover the omgkirbydao's Q2 operations. This is slightly elevated compared to the past two proposals - due to an increase in 7 weeks of pay to 12 weeks of pay. This is to better align with the DAO's Session structure, and to make sure the team is better prepared to engage with the Session 2 proposals.

Conclusion

The total cost for the entirety of Session 2's Operations Budget is 10ETH or $18,273. This covers our current DAO's operations - the Community team, as well as the Community fund. If the budget needs to be exceeded again, it will be put to an additional vote within the community.
