[Storyline #13]: The Sage — Chapter XIII.

"The Sage - Chapter XIII.”

With Barlow out of harm’s way, Isaac awakes after a night’s sleep to find himself still afflicted by what Elenda called a “sickness of the soul”. To find answers, Isaac must find the sage who resides beneath a strange tree but he is warned that he has to arrive at it before nightfall.

After reaching the obsidian tree where the sage was said to live, little did Isaac know he would find more than just the cure for his “sickness of the soul” but also answers about his past and the strange runes on his forearm.

The sage chuckled, “Ah, of course you wouldn’t remember. You were just a newborn when your mother brought you to me.”

Choices:

“Kingdom of Din” - As the kingdom looks for warriors to combat the scourge that spreads across the land. Isaac finds that his interests may align, traveling to the north to find the source of what ails this world. Though he wonders about Barlow, he doubts he would be well enough to travel. So, Ignoring all other distraction, he focuses on the path ahead.

“Companion” - As Isaac regains his senses his thoughts have found their way back to his wounded friend. Though he wishes to head north he would certainly be grateful to have his old companion once again by his side. Barlow was never one to stay down long…and whatever Elenda gave him seemed to be working fast. Isaac decides to see if Barlow is well enough to accompany him. Who knows what useful knowledge Barlow may hold about this unfamiliar land.
