OPTOPICS at the 3rd Optimism Town Hall

OPTOPICS is an interactive Cagendas game where community members suggest, vote, and choose discussion topics during our weekly Optimism Town Hall. If this topic proposal is approved, we’ll play OPTOPICS according to the following rules during this week’s Optimism Town Hall:

How to Play OPTOPICS:

1. Suggest Topics:

   If you have earned Respect, you can suggest discussion topics in the Optimism Town Hall channel on the Optimism Fractal Discord. Topics suggested since the last event are included in a poll for voting.

2. Vote on Topics:

   Vote on topics on the poll in Optimism Town Hall snapshot space starting on Thursday at 16 UTC. Allocate your Respect votes across any topics you're interested in discussing and feel free to change your votes anytime before or during the Town Hall.

3. Switch Topics:

   • Next Topic: Type ‘next topic’ in the chat to propose moving to the next topic (minimum 50 Respect required). This starts a one-minute countdown.
   • Same Topic: Type ‘same topic’ within one minute to veto the change. If vetoed, neither the proposer nor the vetoer can initiate or veto for the current topic again.
   • New Topics: If over half of the members present (each with at least 50 Respect) agree, a new topic can be introduced and discussed immediately.

Tips and Details:

• Keep your topic title under 32 characters to fit easily in the snapshot poll. Feel free to include any relevant links or information to help others prepare for the discussion.
