Description: The Venture Team has been one of the most active teams, both contributing value to the DAO and bringing in new members. We’ve had participation from 39 DAO members contributing to reviewing over 600 companies. Collectively, we’ve completed 1,200 screens and 200 calls in the course of Season 1.

We’ve built brand new venture systems with powerful software/automations powered by our unique experiences running a decentralized investing team. Major milestones include the following: $80M TechCrunch announcement Filtered out over 500 companies, advanced 64 companies to GP Calls Provided support to 30 portfolio companies with 48 help requests Details Team Onboarding documents and guides for how to get involved on the Venture Team (led by Brian) Doubled number of active participants on the fund team (led by Brian) Deal Flow Scouted and spoke with over 30 YC crypto companies in S22 Batch before the Demo Day (led by Berk Ozer with significant contributions from Patrick Deem) Software and Automations Automated screen assigning software that respects team expertise and preferences (led by Brian) A new team calendar scheduling software to help us find times two team members are available to call (led by Brian) Empowered portfolio companies to search over our extended network via the Network tab. We currently have 55 investors on our database. (led by Brian) Better portfolio support software on Grove (led by Thomas) Created a new page on Grove to track portfolio companies’ runways and activities including onboarding calls, investor updates, office hour, and demo hour. Use of funds will be by applying a multiplier to the amounts allocated for individual tasks. 50-> 200, 100-> 400, e.g. Also by the team deciding who should get what for their efforts that were outside those tasks. Some methods have been contemplated here: Orange DAO Venture Team System but the Venture Team will retain discretion.
