The purpose of the following proposal is to gauge community opinion on how the Panda Paradise DAO should deploy the unexpected liquidity earned from major airdrops over the past several weeks: $ENS, $SOS, and $LOOKS.

Staking

As discussed during our recent Panda Hall, the revenue stream for staking LOOKS is significant. The yield comes in 2 forms: the LOOKS token, and direct WETH earnings based on total daily trading on the LooksRare marketplace. The leadership team began staking $LOOKS on 1/16/22 in recognition of its compounding nature. If the community feels the liquidity is better spent elsewhere, we will unstake and re-allocate this liquidity. 12% of the total LOOKS supply was reserved for their airdrop, and 18.9% towards staking rewards.

Staking is also available for the SOS token. However, the tokenomics for OpenDAO, while simpler in framework, lead to many questions and uncertainty over the project's future. 50% of the total supply was allocated for airdrop to OpenSea users, with 20% reserved for its staking incentive in the form of a 1-year linear release.

Land Investment - NFT Worlds

From their Vision Page:

We believe NFT Worlds will become a sprawling, decentralized, massively multiplayer ecosystem of many interconnected worlds. With each world having in-game portals to many other worlds, as well as the ability for players to easily warp between their favorite worlds at any time. We see a future where each world offers unique gameplay mechanics, experiences, play-to-earn competitions, community hangouts, and so much more.

The team recognized a natural alignment between the vision of our project and the platform ecosystem of interconnected worlds being built by this project. Minecraft is a world-renown game with familiar controls, cross-platform support, and native world building tools. Purchasing this asset will allow us to quickly build our first social center outside of the Discord server.

The floor price for a World NFT has been hovering recently from 3 to 4 ETH. Additionally, staking the NFT has a native yield in the form $WRLD tokens that can be used to experiment with P2E mechanics, or other future ideas generated from the Panda Paradise community.

Converting Airdrops into ETH

A conservative option to reduce exposure to the price action of these new projects and protocols is to swap all the tokens for their value in ETH. The funds can then be used for other DAO operations, such as game development, NFT purchases for the vault, marketing campaigns, and/or community contests.

Community Raffle

In addition to the ongoing Year of the Tiger art banner contest that is running until January 28th, a portion of the funds can be distributed via an additional raffle. Further details can be expanded on through community discussion and informal discord polling.

Lastly, this option is in case there is strong community sentiment to explore alternative options (please suggest them in #dao-proposals) for how the capital can be better utilized.

Next Steps and Resolution

The voting period will last 7.5 days, until midnight PST of the following Monday, 24 January 2022. The Panda Paradise team will deploy the airdrops' liquidity depending on the distribution of the votes. For example, if only 1 option is overwhelmingly favored against all others, it will be carried out and the others disregarded. If there is a close tally between 2-3 options, we shall execute on all of them as the airdrop budget allows.
