We understand that having different options to incentivize holders is important. Reflections and staking are two commonly used ways to achieve this. For staking we would need a creative way to fund the staking pool. This is still an interesting idea for the future. Beginning with 2022, we want to propose raising the charity wallet tax to 1% and bringing back reflections at 1%.
One of the main reasons for removing the reflections entirely was to help us with CEX listings. We have spoken with a number of CEXs over the last month and we have verbal commitments from exchanges to list us even if we have reflections. This is a situation we will continue to monitor closely as we speak with more CEXs. If reflections become an issue at any time in the future, and there is reason to remove them, we will revisit the topic via a proposal.
The reason for moving from a 0.5% charity tax to 1% is to continue to hit the sweet spot for the charity wallet in the immediate future. In the long-term we still see 0.5% as the right number, but nobody can predict market downtrends, so we find ourselves in a position where 1% currently makes more sense with the volume and overall market conditions. Thankfully, we have the flexibility built into the contract.
Finally, we recognize having a means of passive income, via reflections, can attract new holders and we want to incentivize holding. Therefore, we ask the community to vote on the following options for tokenomics:
If tokenomics are changed they will be directly implemented following the close of the vote.
