Proposal 25 – Allocate 50,000 PIKU for Rapid-Deployment Growth Campaigns

Summary

This proposal seeks approval to allocate 50,000 PIKU ($8,000 USD equivalent) from the PikuDAO Treasury as a pre-approved rapid-deployment growth budget, enabling the core team to execute time-sensitive, community-facing campaigns — such as live trivia, flash rewards, and real-time engagement activations — without requiring a full governance cycle per event.
All spending under this allocation will be documented and reported to PikuDAO at the end of the campaign.

Valuation Basis

Parameter Value
Total PIKU Supply 500,000,000
Assumed FDV $80,000,000
Implied Token Price $0.16 per PIKU
Requested Allocation 50,000 PIKU ($8,000 USD)

Rationale

PikuDAO's governance process is designed for deliberation — community discussion, forum formalization, and Snapshot voting. This rigor is essential for protocol-level decisions like reserve backing changes, incentive rebalancing, and treasury liquidity deployments.

However, growth and community engagement operate on a different clock. Opportunities in Web3 marketing are often measured in hours, not days:

  • A trending topic on CT that Piku can capitalize on with a flash quiz
  • A live community AMA where spontaneous PIKU rewards drive real-time participation
  • A trivia night on Telegram — 1,000 PIKU prize pool, 10 minutes, announced and executed on the spot
  • A meme contest tied to a protocol milestone, rewarding the community within the same news cycle

Today, each of these would require a standalone governance proposal, a multi-day voting window, and council execution — by which point the moment has passed. The current process optimizes for deliberation at the cost of responsiveness.

This proposal solves that by establishing a capped, pre-approved budget specifically for rapid-deployment campaigns. It preserves governance oversight through two mechanisms:

  1. Fixed cap — The 50,000 PIKU ceiling cannot be exceeded without a new proposal
  2. End of campaign transparency report — A public summary of all disbursements (campaign type, PIKU spent, reach/engagement metrics) will be posted to the Piku Discourse, keeping the DAO fully informed

This is not a replacement for structured campaigns like Galaxy Seasons, which should continue to go through full governance. This is a complementary tool — a small, bounded allocation that lets the team move at the speed of the community.

Campaign Scope

Eligible campaign types under this allocation include, but are not limited to:

Campaign Type Examples
Live Trivia & Quizzes Discord trivia nights, Twitter Spaces pop quizzes, Telegram rapid-fire rounds
Flash Engagement Rewards Meme contests, best thread competitions, milestone celebrations, caption battles
Spontaneous Community Events AMA participation rewards, community call incentives, guest speaker engagement drops
Ecosystem Co-Marketing Joint activations with Morpho, Pendle, Midas, or other integrated protocol communities
Educational Campaigns "Explain USP" challenges, yield strategy breakdowns, governance explainer contests
Onboarding Activations First-mint rewards, referral sprints, new member welcome campaigns
Content Creation Bounties Video tutorials, infographic design contests, translation bounties for non-English communities
Real-Time Social Amplification Quote-tweet raids during key announcements, live reaction rewards during protocol milestones, hashtag campaigns
Governance Participation Drives Proposal discussion incentives, voting streak rewards, delegate spotlight campaigns
IRL & Virtual Event Activations Conference watch parties, side-event scavenger hunts, virtual meetup attendance rewards
Partnerships & Collaborations Cross-DAO engagement campaigns, KOL co-hosted events, podcast appearance giveaways
Gamified Challenges Leaderboard competitions, streak-based engagement rewards, prediction markets on protocol metrics

Out of scope: Protocol incentive changes, reserve strategy modifications, or any recurring distribution — these must follow the standard governance process.

Reporting Cadence End of campaign report posted to Piku Discourse
Report Contents Each campaign listed with: date, type, PIKU distributed, participant count, and engagement outcome
Execution Disbursed from PikuDAO Treasury Wallet
Oversight Council multisig executes; Foundation moderates campaign quality (weekly payments intervals)
