Pi was conceived with the vision of re-democratizing access to cryptocurrencies and making them accessible for anyone to mine with equipment that’s easily available – a smartphone.
To maintain the integrity of the network, Pi operates a KYC policy. Users must be verified with a copy of their ID to be able to transfer Pi into the Pi Mainnet blockchain. This prevents any abuse of the system by users attempting to operate multiple accounts or run bots, or farms, etc. It also means that Pi is growing to become one of the first and largest verified networks.
Pi has been in development since 2018. Currently, the project is in testnet mode. The Pi Testnet, a publicly accessible system, has over 10,000 nodes connected with stable liveness, which will make it one of the largest and most powerful distributed networks in the world once its Mainnet launches.
In order to prevent Pi Network from running in a closed blockchain network, Pi Core Team plans to support EVM on the mainnet. ENS is a key infrastructure of Web3, and its decentralized domain name and account system will play a vital role in Web3. In order to thank the ENS community for its significant contributions to Web3 and blockchain, we will airdrop Pi token to the ENS community after the mainnet launch, but we have not yet decided on the specific target group of the airdrop, so we initiated this proposal, The ENS community Members vote fairly to determine the target group. If you hold an ENS domain name, please vote your precious votes.
