Please note that the Muon protocol, along with its oracles and applications, is inherently multi-chain and has already been implemented on various blockchains, including Ethereum (ETH).

Background Information: As previously communicated, selecting the appropriate underlying blockchain to support our Node Network is crucial. However, we are still in the process of actively testing, modifying, and upgrading the Node client. We have observed that numerous users encounter difficulties in setting up nodes, often resulting in the transmitting of incorrect data to the chain. This, in turn, leads to these users incurring high network fees to rectify their actions. Our initial goal was to establish a robust and long-lasting foundation for the Pion Protocol with the long standing high security that Ethereum brings to the table, but the first month of operation on the Ethereum (ETH) network highlighted the need for both more user guidelines and assistance as well as general technological advancements.

With the imminent re-launch of our token, we see a unique chance to involve our users in deciding the future of the Node-Setup deployment. This includes the potential for significantly reduced gas costs for node operation.

In addition to the gas savings, it's clear that our community has a strong affinity for the BNB Chain. This was evident as the BNB Chain was one of the most popular choices during our community sale, accounting for 28% of usage. Opting for the BNB Chain could also open doors to exciting future synergies, especially in relation to our veNFT holdings on thena.fi.

Should the community opt for the BNB Chain, we will automatically port all currently operating Nodes to this new chain. This means that node operators will not be required to take any action for this transition.

Furthermore, the implications of this vote are short to mid-term - when strategically opportune, the tech team will also work on making Ethereum a base-layer for nodes.

Options:

• Continue on Ethereum: Maintain the current infrastructure, leveraging Ethereum's widespread adoption and robust ecosystem.
• Transition to BNB Smart Chain: Move to a new infrastructure on the BNB Smart Chain, benefiting from much lower transaction fees and higher throughput.

Considerations:

• Ethereum: Offers a large, established ecosystem with high security but potentially higher gas fees and heavy network congestion at times.
• BNB Smart Chain: Known for its scalability and lower costs, but with a different security model and ecosystem dynamics. However, it's important to note that choosing this option would result in a relaunch delay of approximately 1-2 weeks due to the additional setup and transition requirements.

Concurrently, the MUON team is exploring the development of a multi-chain node architecture. However, as of now, this remains a consideration without immediate necessity. Consequently, the outcome of this vote is likely to set a precedent, at least in the short term, for a singular chain to be utilized exclusively for setting up and maintaining nodes.
