Title: (OGP 19): Deprecate the Community-Led Ambassador Program

Author: @mertioi

Sentence Summary: This proposal was initially created to suggests reducing the rewards for the community-led ambassador program due to low participation. However, considering the participation was too low, I propose to deprecate the program, and rewards too. Community's $OVL should be spent very carefully.

Security Risks: This proposal does not pose any security risks to the organization or its stakeholders as it primarily involves a reduction in rewards. Intro:

Despite initial enthusiasm, the community led (led by rskl, a community member) Ambassador program has experienced significantly low participation, resulting in suboptimal resource allocation. This proposal seeks to address this issue by deprecating the rewards allocated to the program, enabling more efficient allocation of resources and improving overall community engagement.

Body: The primary objective of this proposal is to cancel the rewards for the community-led ambassador program in response to the low participation levels.

By cancelling the rewards, we can better align incentives with the current community engagement landscape. This will allow us to distribute OVL tokens to other initiatives and programs that demonstrate higher community involvement and impact.

The proposed cancellation in rewards will be communicated transparently to the community. This transparency will emphasize the importance of optimizing resource allocation and will encourage stakeholders to actively contribute to initiatives that hold greater potential for Overlay's growth and development.

Proposed Cost: The proposed cost of implementing this proposal involves reducing the rewards allocated to the community-led ambassador program from 4000 OVL to 0 OVL.

All the OVL saved from this reduction will be reallocated to other community initiatives that demonstrate higher levels of participation and impact.

A failed program contains the risk of sybil attack. One party could end up having all the tokens. There's only about 40 participants and all these participants might be the very same person, or entity.

Security Risks: Implementing this proposal does not pose any security risks.

Other Considerations: None.

Conclusion: This proposal aims to optimize resource allocation and align incentives with current community engagement levels. The reallocated OVL tokens will be used to support initiatives that demonstrate higher community involvement and impact, ensuring the organization's resources are utilized more effectively. We encourage community feedback, discussion, and questions regarding this proposal.
