We should adjust the snapshot to only include the last half of October. (15th-31st). We had a large influx of new users and investors specifically during this time. If the snapshot roll lands toward the first part of the month, we risk alienating new investors who already saw a 50% drop in value after adding value to the protocol near the (recent) top. If the snapshot lands during the first part of the month, this rewards those that already sold AQUA, and have thus expressed their interest in the short-side interest in the project itself. Rewarding these users with an airdrop simply empowers them to express short interest again on the GAMMA release, which does not make economic sense for users who wish to add value to the project as a whole. Additionally, the idea of the snapshot is to get this into as many hands as possible, and spread the word as far as possible. It would reach more people if we only include the 15th of October onward just based on # of active wallets on that date onward, statistically. Lastly, this removes any suspicion that any insider knowledge or lack of true randomness of the snapshot led to the rapid drop in value we experienced earlier this week, keeping AQUA in our minds as reputable, trustworthy, and open.
