Advisors elections - Second part.

Advisors are elected members of the community, in direct contact with the core team. They are the voice of the community, advising the core team on decisions on a voluntary basis (they are not paid). Advisors may also be signatories and provide security for the treasury in the multisig wallet.

The election is held in 3 parts because we received too many applications. There will be a total of 6 elected advisors.

1️⃣ wishwanto "Dear Polar Team, I am interested in the advisor role and also the potential signatory role in the near future. My background is in IT Project and program management services, and I have 20+ years experience of global services, Solution architecture and client service management. From a qualifications perspective, I hold a degree in Control Systems Engineering and recently completed an executive MBA with a leading university in the UK. I started out in Crypto with mining for altcoins some years ago ( XYO tokens and Chia blockchain ); and since October last year I started to focus on staking, yield farming and running nodes (using nodes as a service) to generate sufficient income to relieve me from having to work for a living any further. I was one of the unfortunate individuals who provisioned / configured and managed a master-node for the now defunct Bitcoin black project (learning Ubuntu Linux Server Administration, intrusion prevention, server hardening tricks along the way. To further advance my useful knowledge in this space, I completed certifications in Blockchain for Business Foundations as well as Blockchain solutions architecture as recently as Jan 2022 (with the Global Blockchain Alliance). Now I think it is time for me to immerse myself deeply into the subject to gain further valuable experience/knowledge in this deeply exciting area. My name is Tommy, I am 38 and I'm probably not qualified to step into anything more than an advisor in this space. I have basic tech skills, website building, CRM & Marketing. Before that I have experience in the Cannabis space where I helped the first licensed cultivation facility get going and abiding by California Cannabis Regulations, this led to consulting for UFCW a.k.a. "The Union" where I traveled the U.S. talking to and organizing Cannabis workers to join the union. On this journey I met many interesting characters, even teamed up with a few to begin a non-profit called Comittee For Mycological Research and Education where we launched DecrimCA.org , a campaign to decriminalize magic mushrooms. We have just over 5,000+ volunteers and continue to grow. Today you can find me talking about various topics to different people from retirement to people my age and how to maximize their earnings while reducing tax liabilites, to lobbying representatives as a Founding Board Member with Decrimca.org, and learning about new mycological species while on hike with the San Diego Mycological Society where I sit as a board member.

My experience is in consulting, advising and money management from a strategic perspective. It sounds like you need someone to push the buttons and execute one of the multisig positions. I am more than willing to sign and execute transactions based on the community votes and standards, I understand the importance of this role and aim to do the best for the POLAR community.

5️⃣ Rushnofsky "I think it is a TREMENDOUS mistake to look for volunteers for this. You don't need volunteer quality work, volunteer quality tools, volunteer quality results. What you need is professionals. You need people who have direct skin in the game, people who will be rewarded directly for their efforts. What you don't need is someone who might just start to lose interest if another project comes along that they are seeing better returns out of. The other thing is you aren't likely to get the best advice and the best people to volunteer.... because they are being paid for their time elsewhere. quality people know their worth and demand to be rewarded for it. One of the best sayings i ever heard was "good tattoos aren't cheap and cheap tattoos aren't good""

I’v been with Polar since January and although I’m not a large holder per se (due to having a relatively risk averse wife hah) I definitely am a big fan of the project and am excited to potentially be a part in any capacity. I work in the tech industry as a Product Strategy Manager and completely recognize the amount of hard work this team has been doing to build something great. I work remotely so generally speaking I have pretty good availability and should not have a problem participating as/when needed. I will admit that I’m not a huge social media person and instead choose to focus on learning new things so I do want to be upfront about that. "Hi Team!

I love the vision you guys bring to the nodes-space, and I would be grateful to be part of the project. On the other hand, I feel I can be an asset by bringing more structure in the implementation of that vision. And that is where I perfectly in. Why? I am 46 years young, been around in crypto since 2017, and I have an extended background in IT-Project management (I am not a coder, so I will not get mixed up in technical decisions). Furthermore, I have MBA in Project-and Process Management. My actual job is Teamlead in the IT-department of a well established sports car manufacturer. Together with my 2 scrum teams, we develop and maintain 3 Apps. Anyway, being an IT nerd, I am interested in new technologies. Being an experienced PM, I know my way around numbers and am I a proficient with organizing. Furthermore, in my position, I am responsible for several budgets, so I certainly understand the importance of holding part of the keys to a multisig.

What's in it for me? My first steps in a crypto-project and most likely a lot of pride in a few months/years, looking back at the greatness we have achieved together. This, combined with the fact that I am very enthusiastic to support the project, gives us a win-win situation:. You get my experience, I get to know the cryptoworld from another angle.
