Like the 19 Validators where people connect to stake their Polis to one of the Validators i want to propose the following:
The NEW DAO should be organized like this:
New DAO managers are going to be proposed by the current DAO managers themselves when they first have worked as DAO Assistents. Those Assistent are enthusiastic Polis members that are willing to put time and effort to help the DAO Managers with daily/weekly/monthly tasks, having some ambition but not immediately have the experience or (self) trust to become a true DAO manager
After a period of 3 months where the DAO manager has collaborated intensively with some of the connected DAO Assistents, he/she can propose to the community to make him/her the new DAO Manager.
The current DAO can share his/her witnessed experience about this Assistent to the community and will guide the new one for the next 2 months before all responsibility has been taken over and after the community has voted for his/her proposal.
The advantage is that the current DAO will be actively seeking and finding active Polis members....know them pretty well. He will stay in the lead for some time before he hands the job all over to the New DAO Manager.
Beside that the assistent will do his effort to show to the community that he/she can be a good next DAO manager. He/she need to promote him/herself too with a proposal where the community needs to vote for too.
The Community decides then on those 2 proposals (or other competive proposals) whether this Assistent will be the new DAO manager. If both proposals had a majority in the YES, then he/she will become the next DAO Manager. (if there is an other proposal coming from the community competing with the Assistent's proposal and this proposal wins, then the Assistant will just become member or may keep the Assistant role).
The new DAO Manager has the task to look and find new assistants too and the process will continue and repeat itself.
The goal with this proposal is to keep the community more actively connected and activated and also to have a proactive DAO team that is always backing themselves with active support by the connected assistants and with new upcoming DAO managers (coming from the Assistant or from the community).
Each DOA manager need to find and activate at least more then 2 assistants in order to find a new DAO manager for in the future. So he/she can have comparison and there can be some competition between the assistants if they both have the ambition to become DAO manager. (it is possible of course that the assistant just wants to be and stay an assistant, that is also good...but the DAO Manager wil stay in actively looking for his/her successor).
So Polis DAO keeps to have continuation without falling apart.
For funding this new DAO Structure.....The Assistant will be paid per task and be paid by the DAO Managers. The DAO managers need to write proposals for that. The negatiations between DAO manager and Assistant creates the right price and this will be proposed to the community.
For now i don't know how to make calculations on this. There should also be kind of effort by free support and maybe the rewards are also depending on the tasks .
May be after the feedback on this proposal we discover how much funding is really needed.
