Alright guys, today we are going to be breaking down wearables a little more in depth. But, before we dive into the intricacies of Wearables and Smart Wearables in Decentraland, let's review what we know from last time.

We had chatted about Wearables - the unique digital attire for your Decentraland avatar. We've covered their NFT aspect, their endless creative possibilities, and their minting on the Polygon/Matic side-chain. Quick, convenient, and gasless. Now, let's go one step further. Let's dissect Wearables into two: 'Wearables' and 'Smart Wearables'. Sounds similar, but believe me, they're different in the most exciting ways.

Wearables are the cosmetic embellishments you can flaunt in-game. Not just for vanity, they can be your key to unlock exclusive locations. They're more than what meets the eye.

Smart Wearables, on the other hand, are your portable experiences. As you saunter through the metaverse, these experiences tag along with you. An example? A snowball from one scene, that you can toss at another player in a completely different scene or the ability to fly.

Wearables cost a cool $150 USD in MANA, the Decentraland in-game currency. But the game's not just about creating, it's about strategizing. You can submit your Wearables at different mint counts - Unique (1), Mythic (10), Legendary (100), Epic (1000), Rare (5000), Common (10,000), or Uncommon (100,000). The lower the mint count, the higher the value. A Mythic DG wearable recently sold for 2.25 ETH.

Once your Wearable passes the careful scrutiny of the wearable committee, the metaverse is your oyster. Sell them in the Decentraland Marketplace, in-world (requires LAND or a NAME), and/or on Opensea, and watch the magic unfold. Also, Decentraland just added the ability to export your avatar as a VRM, this way you can take your digital identity with you to any metaverse. True interoperability.

Let's now shift our lens to our very own Decentral Games Wearables. We present - All Access Wearables and Arcade Wearables. Two different types, myriad experiences.

The All Access Wearables, or AAW, are your ticket to all game modes. Whether it's the Metaverse challenge mode where you battle it out for a daily leaderboard spot to earn ICE (P2E style), or ICE Poker Arcade, a Sit-n-Go that rewards the victorious with Badges. All from the comfort of your own space.

Arcade Wearables are your pass to ICE Poker Arcade, playable on Mobile or Desktop. Sit back, strategize when you play, buy in amounts, and immerse yourself in the game. It's not just gaming, it's an experience truly owning your own in-game assets on the blockchain.

We pride ourselves on being the pioneers of smart wearables. They have paved the way for Smart Wearables, the latest entrants in Decentraland, enabling you to enjoy portable experiences sans any game backing it.

Over the years, we've witnessed an impressive array of individuals and brands make their mark in Decentraland. These range from fashion trendsetters like Kid Super and Dolce & Gabbana, pop culture icons such as Paris Hilton, to global enterprises like Netflix and Samsung. Even beverage titans like Coca Cola have entered the arena of Decentraland wearables, contributing to a vibrant and diverse tapestry of styles and identities.

However, it's not just about the big-name players. Our ever-growing community of creators ceaselessly pushes the envelope, crafting innovative wearables that redefine the intersection of digital aesthetics and practicality. They are continually setting new benchmarks for fashion and function in the digital realm. Their unbridled creativity and groundbreaking ideas are what keep Decentraland a dynamic and exciting space for all.

Wearables in Decentraland are emblematic of a broader push towards democratizing the metaverse, making it accessible and engaging for everyone who wishes to participate.

We hope this deep dive into the world of wearables has provided you with a better understanding of their role and potential in shaping the future of the metaverse.

Stay tuned for more insight and keep the questions coming in the comments. Next week we will be covering Decentraland LAND and what we have built on ours. We're just getting started!
