Two things I suspect will happen in the layer 2 space in the coming months:
- The Polygon zkEVM chain will pivot and decide to post and make their data available on Ethereum mainnet instead of a separate DA layer as originally planned
- OP Mainnet will implement validity proofs instead of fraud proofs with an IVG as originally planned
