Removing the Monster Points Cap
When Polychain Monsters first launched the collector staking system, a cap of one million (1M) rarity points per monster was introduced to prevent a single monster or collector from receiving a disproportionate share of the collector staking rewards.
Since then, our community and Polymon population have grown so much that 1M points now represents less than 0.11% of the total points pool. Therefore, this vote is being presented to determine whether or not the rarity points cap should be removed.
Background Information
The initial decision to create a 1M rarity points cap was made prior to the introduction of our DAO. This topic has recently come up again as we prepare to introduce Rainbow Fusion Monsters.
Rainbow Fusion Monsters are a deflationary feature that allows collectors to transform 5-6 Polymon into one Rainbow Polymon; the resulting Rainbow Fusion Polymon will have all of the collector challenge points for the original monsters as well as an additional rarity points boost.
As we slowly migrate towards the release of the Rainbow feature, we would like to take this opportunity to prepare everything that is needed for the collector staking points distribution. Therefore, we wanted to ask the community about the removal of the collector staking points cap.
Voting
Voting will be single choice, meaning that each voter may only choose his or her single favorite option. The majority choice preference will be declared the winner. This means that the vote with the absolute majority of vote points wins. Vote points for each voter consist of their amount of $PMON tokens, Polymon, and Collect to Earn score.
Voting Options
We offer the following two options in this round of single-choice voting:
-
Yes: Remove the rarity points cap for all Polymon besides airdropped Polymon, which will continue to have a cap of 40k rarity points.
-
No: Keep the 1M rarity points cap for all Polymon besides airdropped Polymon, which will continue to have a cap of 40k rarity points.
Please vote for your preferred option below. Thanks!
