Should we release the early Polymon World Alpha today?
This is our first Collector DAO vote on snapshot.org, and we couldn't be more excited about testing the sough-after DAO than today, the day we're opening the gates for the early alpha of Polymon World. So, how does voting here work? And where does my voting power come from?
About Voting Power
For participating in a proposal, simply connect your wallet with snapshot and open the specific proposal in the Polychain Monsters space.
Note: You need to connect to snapshot with your main wallet – the one you created your Collector Staking account with – to get the correct voting power.
As discussed with the community during a fireside chat about the Collector DAO, the formula for calculating your voting power includes multiple criteria with different weights. These are:
- Rarity Score: 30%
- Collector Score: 10%
- Number of Polymon: 35%
- PMON in Wallet and Farming: 25%
Voting Power Criteria
All these values are calculated and persisted once a week. We are using the same intervals as we do for the Collector Staking.
Rarity Score: The sum of the rarity scores for each of your Polymon, including your special editions.
Collector Score: The collector score from the last interval.
Number of Polymon: The total number of Polymon in your collection, including all chains and wallets connected to your Collector Account, regardless of whether they are bought on secondary markets or airdropped.
PMON in Wallet and Farming: The sum of all your PMON tokens, including all chains and wallets connected to your Collector Account, regardless of whether they are used in Farming or not.
Voting Power Calculation Example
Here's an example for calculating a user's voting power (DAO Score).
Total Values
rarityScoreTotal = 372615741
collectorScoreTotal = 816890855
numberOfPolymonsTotal = 4624685
pmonTokenAmountTotal = 382311
User Values
rarityScore = 393902
collectorScore = 653912
numberOfPolymons = 3343
pmonTokenAmount = 722
Formula
daoScore
= (user.collectorScore / collectorScoreTotal) * 1000000
+ (user.pmonTokenAmount / pmonTokenAmountTotal) * 2500000
+ (user.rarityScore / rarityScoreTotal) * 3000000
+ (user.numberOfPolymons / numberOfPolymonsTotal) * 3500000;
daoScore = ~11223
Note: As you might have noticed, we're using a pretty high multiplier for the calculation to make your daoScore easily readable.
You can use this Google Sheet to play around with the calculation: Google Sheet Calculation
