Polychain Monsters is Launching on Solana
Polychain Monsters is launching on the Solana blockchain on June 28th, 2022 through the minting of a limited edition collection of 10k monsters known as Exomon. The price to mint one Exomon will be 1 $SOL and can be minted on our Magic Eden Launchpad page: https://magiceden.io/launchpad/exomon
This Collector DAO vote will start and end prior to the minting of Exomon on June 28th so no speculation will be necessary about how many points the Exomon are worth or whether the points will be changed/finalized after minting. With this DAO vote, the total collector points from Exomon will be finalized prior to minting and will not change post-mint.
Exomon Supply Levels & Distribution Methods
The 10k Exomon are being distributed via “Exomon Whitelist” spots; only our existing collectors and strategically invited “new collectors” from Solana are allowed to mint Exomon through whitelist spots. At the time of writing this DAO proposal, there are over 8k whitelisted Solana wallets so the average Exomon minted per wallet is expected to be between 1 and 2 Exomon.
What this means is that no individual collector, existing or new, will get to mint an unlimited amount of Exomon or even “as many Exomon as they want,” since supply of Exomon is low and distributed in a controlled manner. Top collectors were able to earn more than one whitelist spot, but nearly all Solana community members that are new to Polychain Monsters only received 1 whitelist spot. In other words, our existing and top community members will be able to mint more Exomon and earn more points from Exomon than someone that is brand new to our project.
Every Single Exomon Will Be “A Rare Pull”
Every single Exomon will be worth more rarity points than the average Polymon due to (a) the scarcity of Exomon, (b) the higher mint price of one Exomon vs. one Polymon, and (c) the fact that every single person that mints an Exomon is going to be rate-limited through the “Exomon Whitelist” that is used to guarantee their minting opportunity while simultaneously restricting minting to one Exomon per whitelist spot at the beginning of the mint and allowing whitelisted wallets to mint an additional 3 Exomon per wallet during the public sale.
It is important to note that the standalone value of an Exomon is more than the rarity points it provides since Exomon will have the ability to create an in-game item that provides Polychain Islands game players the ability to use the item to temporarily boost their PVP (player vs player) rewards or boost their PVE (player vs environment) battle stats to make it easier to defeat and capture wild Polymon.
Collector Challenges to Encourage Collecting of 11/11 Exomon & Polymon Types
There will be two types of collector challenges: (1) the first challenge will be an “11/11 Exomon Types” challenge that rewards community members that collect the various types of Exomon. (2) the second challenge will be a “Polymon Boost” challenge that rewards community members that have completed a Polymon Rainbow or Horn challenge by providing them a “boost” if they get at least one Exomon of that type.
These two challenges encourage our existing and new community members to collect both Exomon and Polymon. A share of the mint funds will be distributed to our collector staking rewards pool (~$100k worth of rewards), but the even bigger opportunity is to convert new community members that mint or purchase an Exomon to get fully immersed into our cross-chain NFT booster pack opening, monster collecting and gaming ecosystem.
Collector Points Snapshot Info
As of 6/21/2022 snapshot, there were a total of 1,018,098,751 collector points earned by those staking and collecting Polymon NFTs.
Voting
This vote below is single choice, meaning each voter may only choose his or her single favorite option. The option that receives the most vote points by the end of the voting period will be declared the winner.
Rarity Points Voting Options
What should the total rarity points be for the Exomon collection?
- 100M - 150M Rarity Points Average rarity points per Exomon: ~9.2k to ~13.9k points Minimum rarity points per Exomon: ~3.7k to ~5.6k points
- 120M - 180M Rarity Points Average rarity points per Exomon: ~11.1k to ~16.7k points Minimum rarity points per Exomon: ~4.5k to ~6.7k points
- 140M - 210M Rarity Points Average rarity points per Exomon: ~12.9k to ~19.4k points Minimum rarity points per Exomon: ~5.2k to ~7.9k points
Note: we are providing ranges to choose from since rarity points must be balanced with collector challenge points.
Reminders
Reminder 1: the actual rarity points per monster will depend on your Exomon that is randomly selected upon mint and how rare that specific Exomon’s attributes are. You might get one of the 29 Legendary Exomon that have the most rare attributes along with the newest and rarest color (reveal coming soon), which gives the Legendary Exomon more rarity points than any other group of monsters!
Reminder 2: If you have completed any Polymon Rainbow or Horn Challenges, then you will also get a boost to that challenge just by staking the Exomon counterpart of that type of monster. So even if existing collectors only get 1 or 2 Exomon (do not complete the 11/11 challenge), they’ll get a boost beyond the rarity points that come with the Exomon itself.
Potential Outcomes of Vote 1 & Vote 2:
You are currently viewing one of two votes related to Exomon. The vote you are viewing is for rarity points and there is a separate vote for collector challenge points.
- If the lowest options are chosen for Vote 1 and Vote 2, the total points created will be 250M points, split between rarity and collector challenge points
- If the two middle options are chosen for Vote 1 and Vote 2, the total points created will be 300M points, split between rarity and collector challenge points.
- If the two highest options are chosen for Vote 1 and Vote 2, the total points created will be 350M points.
