The Reverse Swap Rate – 2nd proposal
Thank you to everyone who participated in the first Reverse Swap Rate voting. It was a close race between Option 2 (15 Polymon for a Booster Pack voucher ticket) and Option 3 (20 Polymon for a Booster Pack voucher ticket), with none of the options obtaining an absolute majority (> 50%).
We discussed the importance of having a result with an absolute majority with our community in Discord and Telegram. So, as a result, we're doing another vote between Options 2 and 3.
Rest assured, this proposal won't influence the Reverse Swap launch. We're still testing the feature internally and hope to release it to the public at the end of the month.
Background Information
In response to the community's feedback about the infinite amount of green Unisheep collecting dust in their accounts, we are thrilled to introduce a new feature coming soon to the Polymon Universe - the ability to Reverse Swap your Polymon.
Reverse Swapping will allow an individual to burn a number of their old, unwanted Polymon into a redeemable voucher for a brand new Polymon Booster Pack.
This will help provide utility to many of the community's unused portions of their collection while combating the current inflationary nature of Polymon on the secondary market.
A few notes about the Reverse Swap feature: You will be able to burn several Polymon in your account(s) to receive a voucher ticket. These vouchers can be used to open a new Booster Pack.
Voucher tickets are divisible, meaning you won't need to burn enough Polymon for an entire ticket all at once.
You will be able to select one of your account's wallets as a destination for all of your tickets for ease of combining.
For example: If you have two wallets in your account and swap 0.6 vouchers from monsters within wallet #1 and 0.4 vouchers from monsters within wallet #2, you can designate all vouchers to be delivered to wallet #2 resulting in having one complete ticket voucher there. Voucher tickets, however, are not transferrable between wallets.

Reverse Swap Gas Fees
A few collectors pointed out it would be interesting to learn more about the estimated gas fees for Reverse Swap and if both soft- and hard-minted Polymon can be swapped (they can!). So here are formulas and examples to estimate gas fees on Ethereum (yikes), Binance Smart Chain and Polygon:
-
Estimated gas fees (soft-minted): (62652 + 35489 * ) * * 10^9 * * 10^-18
-
Estimated gas fees (hard-minted): (30067 + 42280 * ) * * 10^9 * * 10^-18
-
Example calculation of the estimated gas fees on BSC (soft-minted): (62652 + 35489 * 15) * 5 * 10^9 * 419 * 10^-18 = 1.24$
Estimated gas fees on Polygon, BSC and Ethereum for 15 PMON:
Softminted 592598 gas
- Polygon 0.15$ (200 GWei)
- BSC 1.24$ (5 GWei)
- ETH 215,93$ (164 GWei)
Hardminted 655896 gas
- Polygon 0.17$ (200 GWei)
- BSC 1.39$ (5 GWei)
- ETH 241,08$ (164 GWei)
Estimated gas fees on Polygon, BSC and Ethereum for 20 PMON:
Softminted 592598 gas
- Polygon 0.2$ (200 GWei)
- BSC 1.61$ (5 GWei)
- ETH 280,34$ (164 GWei)
Hardminted 655896 gas
- Polygon 0.23$ (200 GWei)
- BSC 1.83$ (5 GWei)
- ETH 317,80$ (164 GWei)
Note: We are investigating the possibility of moving soft-minted Polymon from one chain to another to do a reverse swap on a cheaper chain, especially for people with many Polymon on Ethereum.
Options
- Option 1: 15 Polymon for a Booster Pack voucher ticket.
- Option 2: 20 Polymon for a Booster Pack voucher ticket.
