Summary

This proposal details changes to the preDAO structure, effectively enabling a second phase of preDAO, akin to a preseed/seed round structure. There is also one minor change from the already processed “preDAO alignment” votes, pDIP-1, pDIP-6 and pDIP-6(2), that must be confirmed. “The Core Team constitutes 25% of the $preSCI holdings”, to be amended to 30%.

Proposed Changes

Given the renewed interest in the DeSciWorld protocol, we propose to dilute the $1 = 1 $preSCI conversion rate to between $1 = 0.05 $preSCI and $1 = 0.2 $preSCI to accommodate further support from interested parties.
Mentioned in Article I. Definitions of pDIP-1, pDIP-6 and pDIP-6(2) is “The Core Team constitutes 25% of the $preSCI holdings”. We propose this to be amended to “The Core Team constitutes 30% of the $preSCI holdings” for future preDAO Alignment proposals, in order to better align the interests of the team and to provide more flexibility regarding pre-launch partnerships and advisory.

Rationale

A combination of recent progress from DeSciWorld, improved market conditions and a recent uptick in the popularity of the DeSci space has led to a rethink of our protocol’s prospective valuation. As such, we want to maximise the potential support that we can receive in order to realise the best version of DeSciWorld.
With the new potential token economic model which includes an emissions schedule for $DSCI, there is a smaller proportion of the total $DSCI supply available upon TGE. This, combined with the increased value of the protocol mentioned above leads us to propose a 5% increase in the share of the $preSCI supply to the Core Team. We expect this amount to better reflect the best interest of the team and protocol through alignment. It also provides greater scope for the Core Team to propose pre-TGE partnerships and initiatives.
