Summary

This proposal details fundamental changes to the preDAO governance structure. Including a change of token to $preDSW, an updated MoU and Alignment vote and acceptance of new members.

Proposed Changes

1. Change the governance token for the DeSciWorld preDAO to the $preDSW token, removing the $preSCI token governance module from Snapshot;
2. Whitelist the existing preDAO member addresses to claim $preDSW, according to their allocation of $preSCI detailed in Appendix 1;
3. Whitelist the addresses of the new entrants to the preDAO, according to their stated interest level in the Supporter's MoU, detailed in Appendix 1;
4. Agree to allow changes to the "preDAO Alignment" proposal that all existing members have already signed, and new members must sign. The new Alignment vote must be separately voted on and ratified.

Rationale

1. The $preSCI token contract contains a limitation with the inclusion of a max supply cap. If any preDAO member at any point makes a mistake with their allocation, such as burning, then there is no possibility to replace it with new tokens. Further, the $preSCI token whitelist data is held off-chain. Thus, we will deploy $preDSW with a flexible supply cap and on-chain address storage.
2. Existing $preSCI holders should receive the amount of $preDSW they are allocated according to their stated Interest Level
3. New entrants for the preDAO must receive their $preDSW to enter the fray
4. The new "preDAO Alignment" proposal must be updated to include the changes to the token, along with some other quality of life changes.

Voting

If you vote “Yes” to this proposal, you agree to all the proposed changes made here including the change of governance token to $preDSW, the whitelist included in Appendix 1 and the update to the preDAO alignment vote.

If you vote “No” to this proposal, you disagree with some or all of the proposed changes and agree to provide explicit reasoning to the preDAO for your vote.
