Summary

This proposal suggests a payment structure for the DeSciWorld Core Team to incentivise their work: 1500 USDC/month each with an optional 1000USDC/month unlock.

### Definitions

“Core Team” is defined as the members displayed on https://desci.world/about/. At time of proposal submission, the Core Team consists of 5 individuals.

Proposed Compensation Structure

Each Core Team member shall receive 1500 USDC monthly, with the option of an additionally claimable 1000 USDC, at the individual Core Team member’s discretion.

The funds shall be sent to a selected wallet address at the beginning of each month that the preDAO is active, before the formation of the DeSciWorld DAO proper. When the DAO proper is launched, this incentive structure shall be revisited and separately ratified by vote.

The “beginning of the month” implies the 1st day of the month; if the payment cannot be made on that time, it shall be credited as close as possible to that time.

“At the individual Core Team member’s discretion” invokes complete autonomy to each Core Team member as to if, when or why they receive an additional 1000USDC per month.

### Justification

Good work requires fair compensation. The Core Team have made DeSciWorld their passion and their priority and should be incentivised to continue this level of work and commitment.

1500 USDC/month is very low compared to the industry average of Core Team compensation. The Core Team has proposed this amount to ensure that payments do not jeopardise the preDAO stage, in which funds may be limited and the eventual revenue generation of DeSciWorld is yet to be fully realised. The Core Team have recognised the pivotal nature of this early stage of development and have further shown their commitment to making DeSciWorld succeed with this decision.

However, as working adults, it is necessary to have the option for additional funds if required by the Core Team members. As such, this proposal contains the caveat that an additional 1000 USDC/month can be claimed without justification or further proposals each month, per Core Team member, should the Core Team member require it.

All transactions will be logged in the relevant databases, available for viewing by any preDAO member upon request.

If you vote “Yes” to this proposal, you agree to all points made here including the 1500USDC monthly transfer and the additional potential unlock of 1000 USDC each per month, for the 5 Core Team members.
