Summary

This proposal requests an unlock of 30,000 USDC for a variety of expenses stated below.

### Expenses to be reimbursed This proposal pertains to the unlock of funds for a number of outstanding expenses that the DeSciWorld Core Team have accrued over the past 5 months. This includes:

1. 1000 USDC for Jack Calbi’s contributions from Sep 2022 - Jan 2023
2. 1000 USDC for Antoni Paszke’s contributions Sep 2022 - Jan 2023
3. 1500 USDC for DeSciWorld x DeSci London tote bags (January)
4. 1500 USDC for DeSciWorld Hackathon Winners, Retrox
5. 2500 USDC for Joshua Bate’s various operating costs since October 2021
6. 1000 USDC for Discourse and Gitbook
7. 8000 USDC for Unpaid Salaries for Core Team (1500 x 5 & 500)
8. 7000 USDC for World of DeSci: Belgrade Conference costs
9. 1500 USDC for DeSci Rio conference expenses (flights/accom./ticket)
10. 4100 USDC for Carlos CTO's Invoice since Feb 2023. = 29,100 USDC + 900 USDC as float.

### Description of expenses

1. Jack was a Core Team member since June 2022 and completed many tasks including creating the ARCGIS world map on our Dashboard and updating our media resources. He was not paid for the last 3.5 months of his time at DeSciWorld and this is a payment of appreciation. Jack no longer works with DSW.
2. Antoni was a Core Team member since June 2022 and completed tasks such as creating and rollout of Crew3, ideation of many of DSW’s products, assisting in community support and engagement. He was not paid for the last 3.5 months of his time at DeSciWorld and this is a payment of appreciation. Antoni no longer works with DSW.
3. DeSciWorld designed and provided the only merch at DeSci London in January 2023. DSW funded a community designer ($200), bought 200 tote bags with custom print ($1000), printed information leaflets to include inside ($150) and provided magnifying glasses as an accessory ($150).
4. DeSciWorld sponsored the main prize tract for the DeSci London official Hackathon. The winning prize, Retrox, was $1500 and will be sent to Stefan Adolf and Jan Ole Ernst of Molecule and Retrox, respectively. Retrox built a dePeer Review platform and want to work together with DSW to continue to build it to finality.
5. This is a payment for Joshua’s previous and continuous expenses of Gmail (@desci.world), Domain Hosting, Firebase storage, MEE6, Gas Costs, Twitter Blue, Notion Pro, NFT Launchpad SC Deployment costs and more that fall under project maintenance. This does not include backpay for any salaries paid or other large outgoing expenses (>$25,000 since June 2022), which Joshua has accepted as sunken cost.
6. DSW’s Operations department has requested “Plus” membership for Discourse "Basic" with an annual billing cost of $500, Gitbook at $400 and extras at $100.
7. This covers the monthly $1500 salary payment of May and June for 3 Core Team members + smaller payment for PT Core Team member payment.
8. This covers the outgoings for our inaugural World of DeSci conference in Belgrade. This is less than the costs accrued to Joshua but only what he has submitted for expenses. (venue, merch, food, afterparty, AV crew, posters etc. - full invoice breakdown can be found on our Notion>Expenses)
9. This payment covers the money sent to Carolina to cover her costs for attending DeSci Rio conference.
10. Carlos DiMatteo, DeSciWorld's CTO has foregone regular payment in order to help during low liquidity moments. This is his accrued invoice since Feb 2023.

FLOAT: The additional 900 USDC will be held in a hot wallet to allow for micro-expenses without additional proposal. All transactions will be logged and reported.

NOTE: Above is a list of essential reimbursements to the Core Team and other contributors to the DeSciWorld ecosystem over the last 6 months. It is hoped that the preDAO members recognise the essential nature of each of these outgoings and the justification for their reimbursement.

All transactions and invoices will be logged in the relevant databases (Notion), available for viewing by any preDAO member upon request.
