This proposal requests an additional unlock of 9000 USDC for a variety of expenses stated below.
### Expenses to be reimbursed
This proposal pertains to the unlock of funds for a number of outstanding expenses that the DeSciWorld Core Team have accrued over the past 5 months.
This includes:
- 1500 USDC for Jack Calbi’s contributions from Sep 2022 - Jan 2023
- 1000 USDC for Antoni Paszke’s contributions Sep 2022 - Jan 2023
- 1500 USDC for DeSciWorld x DeSci London tote bags (January)
- 1500 USDC for DeSciWorld Hackathon Winners, Retrox
- 2500 USDC for Joshua Bate’s maintenance costs since October 2021
- 1000 USDC for Notion, Gitbook, Twitter Blue
### Description of expenses
- Jack was a Core Team member since June 2022 and completed many tasks including creating the ARCGIS world map on our Dashboard and updating our media resources. He was not paid for the last 3.5 months of his time at DeSciWorld and this is a payment of appreciation. Jack no longer works with DSW.
- Antoni was a Core Team member since June 2022 and completed tasks such as creating and rollout of Crew3, ideation of many of DSW’s products, assisting in community support and engagement. He was not paid for the last 3.5 months of his time at DeSciWorld and this is a payment of appreciation. Antoni no longer works with DSW.
- DeSciWorld designed and provided the only merch at DeSci London in January 2023. DSW funded a community designer ($200), bought 200 tote bags with custom print ($1000), printed information leaflets to include inside ($150) and provided magnifying glasses as an accessory ($150).
- DeSciWorld sponsored the main prize tract for the DeSci London official Hackathon. The winning prize, Retrox, was $1500 and will be sent to Stefan Adolf and Jan Ole Ernst of Molecule and Retrox, respectively. Retrox built a dePeer Review platform and want to work together with DSW to continue to build it to finality.
- This is a payment for Joshua’s previous and continuous expenses of Gmail (@desci.world), Domain Hosting, Firebase storage, MEE6, Gas Costs and more that fall under project maintenance. This does not include backpay for any salaries paid or other large outgoing expenses, which Joshua has accepted as sunken cost.
- DSW’s Operations department has requested “Plus” membership for Notion for 6 members, with an annual billing cost of $480, Gitbook at $400 and Twitter Blue at $120.
