[BPD:08] Profit Distribution - Epoch 8

Background

Following the passage of [BIP:85], the Beefy DAO has adopted a standing framework for the distribution of its quarterly profits to users and contributors.

Under the terms of that proposal, 25% of any adjusted net income (i.e. profits) from the previous quarter will be distributed throughout the current quarter as additional user incentives on a range of Beefy products. From that 25%, half are directed by DAO votes and half by the core contributor team.

This proposal seeks input from the DAO to allocate 2,942.08 USDC of user incentives in epoch 8 (March 2025).

Vote

As stipulated in the Profit Distribution Framework, the configuration for user incentives votes is as follows:

• Open and weighted (or "multi-choice") voting
• Any Beefy products on any chains (save Ethereum) may be nominated by posting in the #-profit-distribution channel in the Beefy Discord server
• Incentives will be allocated in line with the share of votes received
• The vote will include as many options as are requested, or otherwise up to the limit of Snapshot's capacity (with the core team having responsibility for pruning excess requests that may be unlikely to succeed)
• Incentives to be paid out in $mooBIFI where possible, and stablecoins otherwise
• No CLM Reward Pools to be incentivized where there is also a CLM Vault of the same pool
• A maximum limit of 20% share of the net total vote to any one option, after all adjustments
• A minimum limit of no less than $100 in net incentives value, after all adjustments
• Where the maximum limit is exceeded, those votes will be removed from the calculation of total voting power thereafter, to ensure other options are able to pass the minimum threshold
• Where the minimum threshold is not met, those votes will be removed from the calculation of total voting power thereafter, to ensure other options are able to pass the minimum threshold
• The inclusion of an abstain option to allow voters to demonstrate attendance without needing to use their entire voting power

After the closing of the vote, the net vote share and net distribution value figures of the successful products will be posted in the #-profit-distribution channel on Discord. The incentives will then be promptly distributed for the next month.
