Follow-up Proposal to: “Blacklist PixelSweeper Treasury from Future Airdrops” proposal.

Proposal Summary:

This proposal serves as a follow-up to the previous one concerning the potential blacklisting of Pixel Sweepers' treasury. The initial proposal arose due to several factors, primarily driven by recent decisions and structural changes within the PixelSweeper DAO. These changes have had an impact on PixelSweeper minters, holders, the Squad Collection, and the wider community.

Background:

The previous proposal did not receive approval as many individuals expressed concerns about the limited time for debate and voting. In an effort to provide the community and PixelSweepers with another opportunity, I refrained from voting personally. The aim was to encourage the PixelSweepers to find a mutually beneficial solution or, at the very least, maintain the original purpose that motivated people to mint Squads from the treasury, which was to have a chance to "win" Squads.

However, during the past month, no DAO proposals were put forth, nor was there any indication of support for this objective. Since having those Squads in their treasury brings no other source of revenue to them, outside of the Squad ecosystem, we can only conclude that the PixelSweeper DAO proposal to "pause" will leverage those Treasury Squads to prop up their own collection further by extracting value from the Squad community into theirs, with no apparent benefit to Squad NFT collection, even worse, at the expense of. We can only conclude this, as no other justifiable reasons have been presented for the “pause”. Those Squads belong to the minters and holders that minted and bought under the original offer premise.

Proposal Details:

If PixelSweepers acquires a new source of funds and starts building a new treasury of Squads, then that's a different story, but this current batch needs to be distributed on schedule as originally promised. As far as how you replenish this supply without extracting value from Squad Eco, while still sweeping and distributing Squads, is up to PS DAO decisions, and when/if that day comes, we can revisit this.

Furthermore, in the event of an unpause, there is uncertainty regarding the distribution mechanism and who will receive those Squads, as there has been no clear plans for distributing Squads to minters/holders in the foreseeable future.

Conclusion:

With this proposal, the intent to blacklist "pause" future drops to PixelSweeper Treasury, until the situation is resolved and a clear path forward is established.
