Droposal discovery and creator tool - proof of concept sprint

TLDR: Create a great experience for discovering mints by DAOs and making droposals.

Builder DAO has an opportunity to help nounish DAOs grow their audiences and treasuries via droposals and grow the Builder DAO’s treasury at the same time. This is a proposal to design and build a microsite to showcase and create droposals created by nounish DAOs.

The idea is to reinforce the feedback loop of giving droposal mints better visibility leading to increased discovery of DAOs leading to supporting artists and growing a treasury via protocol rewards and mint fees leading to more droposals by DAOs.

This will benefit Builder DAO specifically with a portion of the protocol fee from mints created sent to the treasury.

Opportunities

• Grow BuilderDAO’s revenue via Zora protocol rewards from DAOs creating droposals and minting ux
• Increase number of droposals created and minted by promoting droposal mints on DAO pages and on the nouns.build landing page
• Give DAOs a home for their drops

Proof of concept sprint Instead of building out a full version to start, I’m proposing a shorter sprint to create a proof of concept. The hope is that the value add becomes clear by having a few daos using the proof of concept and sending protocol rewards to the Builder DAO treasury.

Sprint plan: work with daos planning to release droposals in the near future to get them set up on the tool. Let it run for a few weeks to prove out the concept, gather feedback, roadmap out the next sprint, and then come back to Builder DAO for additional funding to continue building.

Proof of concept scope (scaled back from previous draft)

• Functional droposal creation ux
• Dao page showcasing drops
• Mint page for each droposal
• Simple landing page
• Mints will happen on the DAO’s native chain. ie. a DAO on Base will mint their droposals on Base, an L1 DAO will mint theirs on L1, etc.

Potential future features

• DAO-specific mint page for each drop (mint page within DAO wrapper)
• DAO-specific token detail page
• Droposal creation ux, including support for 1155 drops
• Display mints from L1 and L2 DAOs
• L2 mints for L1 DAOs
• Alternate governance contract for drops (similar to what Agora is building)
• Playlists for audio & video mints
