Quantum Biology DAO Development Proposal - 019 (QBIO DP-19)
Title: Quantum Biology Institute Revised Tideover Budget for June 2025
Quantum Biology DAO Development Proposal - 019 (QBIO DP-19) approves a grant to the Quantum Biology Institute to fund its operations for June 2025.
The Quantum Biology Institute is the premier research institute for quantum biology and also the funding source for most of the Quantum Biology DAO co-founders. This proposal is made to tide over the Quantum Biology Institute operational costs for one month; a full grant proposal covering 2025 and forecasting through 2029 has been made publicly available[1]. The Quantum Biology Institute is a registered 501(c)(3) California non-profit committed to open-sourcing their research products and educating the public about quantum biology.
This proposal follows DP-16[2], which was similar, but which failed because quorum on voting was not reached. This budget is reduced because the expected date of the Quantum Biology Institute Symposium has been pushed back to August. Point 2 is also simplified to remove the requirement of an ETH transaction.
1. Approval of $126,479 USD Grant for the Quantum Biology Institute
The Quantum Biology DAO will grant $126,479 USD equivalent to the Quantum Biology Institute. This grant will cover Institute operations during June 2025; a budget is included below.
2. Payment in USDC
For this grant, any payments made by the Quantum Biology DAO in USDC will be made by sending USDC from the Quantum Biology DAO treasury to the Quantum Biology Institute’s Coinbase account.
3. Grant Payment Schedule
The Quantum Biology DAO will forward the amount granted to the Quantum Biology Institute without delay.

Granting one month of funding for the Quantum Biology Institute’s operations will allow it to pay its staff and continue operations for the month of June 2025. During this time, design of the microscope and the microbiological magnetic studies will continue. This material for this budget is largely derived from the Institute’s proposed Annual Budget[1] covering the effort to advance the Institute’s publicly available roadmap[4], which details costs for 2025 and estimates costs through 2029.
