Text: ——— Quantum Biology Institute Tideover Budget for May 2025, v1.1
Quantum Biology DAO Development Proposal - 012 (QBIO DP-12)
Title: Quantum Biology Institute Tideover Budget for May 2025
Summary:
Quantum Biology DAO Development proposal - 012 (QBIO DP-12) approves a grant to the Quantum Biology Institute to fund its operations for May 2025.
Background:
The Quantum Biology Institute is the premier research institute for quantum biology and also the funding source for most of the Quantum Biology DAO co-founders. This proposal is made to tide over the Quantum Biology Institute operational costs for one month; a full grant proposal covering 2025 and forecasting through 2029 has been made publicly available[1]. The Quantum Biology Institute is a registered 501(c)(3) California non-profit committed to open-sourcing their research products and educating the public about quantum biology.
This proposal is made while Phase 2 of DAO governance is being repaired (DP-10)[2]. As such, if it is approved in Phase 1 (drafting in Discord) it will immediately proceed to Phase 3 (token voting on Snapshot).
Description
The Quantum Biology DAO will grant $150,323 USD equivalent to the Quantum Biology Institute. This grant will cover Institute operations during May 2025; a budget is included below.
For this grant, any payments made by the Quantum Biology DAO in USDC will be made by swapping ETH from the Quantum Biology DAO treasury for USDC and sending the USDC to the Quantum Biology Institute’s Coinbase account.
The Quantum Biology DAO will forward the amount granted to the Quantum Biology Institute without delay.

Conclusion
Granting one month of funding for the Quantum Biology Institute’s operations will allow it to pay its staff and continue operations for the month of May 2025. During this time, design of the microscope will continue, the microbiological magnetic studies will actually begin, and the Institute’s previous debts will be paid off. This material for this budget is largely derived from the Institute’s proposed Annual Budget[1] covering the effort to advance the Institute’s publicly available roadmap[3], which details costs for 2025 and estimates costs through 2029.
