Quantum Biology DAO Development Proposal - 005 (QBIO DP-5) Title: Quantum Biology Institute Tideover Budget for Feb 2025

Summary: Quantum Biology DAO Development proposal - 005 (QBIO DP-5) approves a grant to the Quantum Biology Institute to fund its operations for February 2025.

Background: The Quantum Biology Institute is the premier research institute for quantum biology and also the funding source for most of the Quantum Biology DAO co-founders. This proposal is made to tide over the Quantum Biology Institute operational costs for one month; a full grant proposal covering 2 full years of research operation is expected to follow shortly. The Quantum Biology Institute is a registered 501(c)(3) California non-profit committed to open-sourcing their research products and educating the public about quantum biology.

Description

1. Approval of $75,000 USDC grant for the Quantum Biology Institute The Quantum Biology DAO will grant, without delay, $70,000 USDC to the Quantum Biology Institute. ETH from the Quantum Biology DAO Treasury will be converted into USDC and sent to the Quantum Biology Institute’s Coinbase account. This grant will cover Institute operations during February 2025; a budget is included below.

3. Conclusion Granting one month of funding for the Quantum Biology Institute’s operations will allow it to pay its staff and continue operations for the month of 2025. During this time, the lab will be set up, scientific progress will be made, and a full budget proposal covering the next 2 years of research program to advance the Institute’s publicly available roadmap will be made shortly.
