MEV (Maximum Extractable Value) has always been a concern for DeFi protocols. Today largely conducted by bots, MEV describes the process of rearranging, including, or deleting certain transactions from a block in order to extract profit. Contrary to popular belief, MEV is far from resolved. While DeFi has advanced greatly over the years, MEV continues to worsen into 2026, with the majority of extracted value being captured directly by protocol-level auctions instead of external bots.
Fortunately, there is now an integration-ready solution that is designed to protect users and support a protocol’s on-chain economy.
MEV-X Homelander is a plugin that integrates directly into DeFi protocols (in this case, QuickSwap) to capture backrunning MEV generated around supported liquidity pools. The plugin subsequently redistributes captured value back to the protocol and its LPs under a transparent commercial model.
This governance proposal has been introduced for the dragon community to decide if QuickSwap should integrate MEV-X Homelander to redistribute MEV value to the protocol and its LPs.
