Intro
This proposal is for kicking off my 2-month trial period as a full-time contributor for R Group.
Like the rest of the DAO, we’re just getting things started, but have reached consensus on a high-level set of processes, including our approach to contributor onboarding and compensation guidelines.
Scope
During this trial period, I will contribute to the DAO according to the following document: Zak @ Rarible DAO - Contribution.
After the 2-month trial period, I will submit another proposal for a longer-term engagement, contingent on:
- My contributions, role, and outputs during the 2 month trial period
- Passing the vibe check with the rest of R Group and DAO

Rationale
- I have over 12 years of professional experience as a software engineer across a variety of different teams and environments, and have served as an individual contributor, team lead, and architect
- I have built, shipped, and maintained several high-quality open source projects over the course of my career and keep a strong pulse on cutting-edge front end practices and emerging web3 conventions
- Previously I spent the last 10 months as a full-time contributor to Boardroom, a crypto governance aggregation platform where I served as lead front end engineer and architect -- I’ve also recently contributed in a part-time capacity to Alchemist and Screensaver
- This is equivalent to a $199,200 / year salary compensation, which is in line with previous full-time compensation of mine and current market rates given my experience and quality of output
Additional Compensation
Additional compensation is alluded to in other compensation docs floating around in the form of vesting equity via $RARI. This will be discussed after the 2-month trial period if my full-time engagement will continue.
