RIP #20 - Endorsing Radiant Guardian Fund Security Framework

Voting ended 10 months agoSucceeded

Abstract

This proposal invites vlRDP holders to determine whether Radpie should support Radiant Capital’s RFP-52, which introduces the Radiant Guardian Fund—a structured security framework aimed at strengthening deposit protection and institutional credibility. The proposal outlines three key components: a multi-asset cold wallet secured by a 4-of-7 multi-signature (Guardian Fund), a staking mechanism that enables users to lock dLP to qualify for coverage (Guardian Staking Contract), and a capital-efficient LP token (gLP) that represents collateral in the Guardian Fund and facilitates its utility across DeFi applications.

If approved, this proposal would align Radpie with Radiant Capital’s evolving security architecture, focused on mitigating systemic risk through structured economic mechanisms. Participation would reflect coordination around deposit protection standards, capital efficiency design, and infrastructure aimed at expanding access to risk-aware institutional participants.

Motivation

In 2024, DeFi protocols faced over $2.1 billion in losses, with lending platforms bearing a substantial share. Radiant Capital’s $54.5 million exploit highlighted the need for security measures that extend beyond technical audits and toward structured economic protections.

RFP-52 [link] responds to this challenge by introducing a risk-sharing mechanism centered on user participation. Rather than relying solely on preventive controls, it incorporates coverage eligibility through dLP staking and introduces a mechanism for capital efficiency via the gLP token—positioning the model as a response to growing expectations for economic safeguards in DeFi.

Radpie submits this proposal for vlRDP holders to determine whether alignment with Radiant’s security initiative is consistent with community objectives. The result will inform Radpie’s position and ensure coherence with its broader role in supporting security-conscious protocol design across the SubDAO network.

Specification

Vote on whether Radpie should endorse Radiant Capital’s RFP-52 to establish the Radiant Guardian Fund, which introduces a security framework based on a multi-asset Fund, dLP-based deposit protection, and gLP tokens for capital efficiency.
